Why don't Skeet Ulrich and Johnny Depp look alike anymore?

In "Scream" and his other film roles around that time, Skeet Ulrich looked like he could pass as Johnny Depp's brother. Now they look completely different--Skeet doesn't even look like the same person, I literally can't recognize him as the guy from "Scream".

I'm not talking about style and make-up, I mean their faces.

What the hell are you talking about? Skeet Ulrich looks like a normal more mature version of himself. Johnny Depp looks like something a horse just shat out.

R1 Skeet looks like a mature version of someone else. Something has changed about his face, and not in a plastic surgery way.

They never looked anything like each other OP.

Also - what R1 said. Especially the horse bit.

Skeet is such a nasty word

Yes, they looked somewhat similar in youth, prob a combo of having similar hair coloring/hairstyle of the time, proportional measurement of features, etc. But has time has gone by, you can see that they really didn't look much like each other. And now, Skeet looks like a fairly healthy, older version of himself and Johnny Depp looks like Deppity-Do.
