Peter Scanavino from Law and Order SVU

Any gossip on this guy? He plays Carisi. Reminds me of a young Robert Deniro.

His wife is more accomplished than he.

I shot an episode of SVU a couple years ago, and Peter was in my scene with me as were quite a few other actors. Although we had a couple lines where we addressed each other he never said hello, smiled or waved any greeting. I had trouble with my action and my lines as there was no rehearsal really and he just played with his phone the whole time. I didn't need him to do anything for me, but a hello would have been welcomed. I wouldn't say I got a nice vibe from him, but maybe the time I took to get it right annoyed him. Okay.

R5 How did he interact with the rest of the cast? What were they like? Does Law and Order really have little to no rehearsal?

Everyone was already in place when I was brought in. I was the only one walking around, so there wasn't a big chance to socialize, but other regulars said hi, or waved or smiled. There was a minute where the lovely director walked me through the action once, but it was tough to time out, and it took me a few takes.

It is a fantastic set, efficiently run, but they keep it moving. Everyone was very nice, but the only series regular I had dialogue aimed at was PS, and we just yelled in each others direction. He didn't have much else to do so seemed a bit disengaged while I figured my part out. I guess people get tired and antsy, and it was at the end of the day.

R5 / R7 That's pretty cool that you got to work on one of my favorite shows! Sorry about your interaction with PS. Maybe it was an off day? Who knows.
