There was quite the turnout for this event. The furries who showed up to counter-protest were an insignificant number.

Almost all my life, I had been convinced that gay rights were somehow conjoined to women's rights. Countries that hate gays usually have a bad records on women's rights too. Then the TRA usurpation happened and everything changed. They are as deranged as Andrew Tate, just that the latter is in prison and the TRAs are in the media and politics and turn their view of what a woman should be into law. Horrible.

R26, the vast majority of people are just now realizing what's been going on. Which amazes me but then during all the years of seeing Drop the T here I didn't really understand what was happening. A number of my female friends, even lobbyists and advocates in health care are only recently aware of the realities of the trans movement and its capture of institutions, school boards, entertainment, higher education, organizations, governments, media.

My friends would all be considered left leaning, progressives and they are without exception appalled and opposed to all this extreme nonsense.

The TRA movement went unchallenged for too long. People lazily, maybe some fearfully, accepted their lies and smears against their opponents.

It's going to be a tough fight to get back sanity and I do worry the pendulum will swing too far back which is why LGBs need to be in this fight whether they like it or not.

But I do see some initial waves breaking.

If gay people had the same muscle/influence that trans activists have today, legal/social change for us would have happened at warp speed. Instead it was one step forward, two steps back for many years. We got there (the U.S., western Europe) eventually, more or less, Of course homophobia hasn't stopped. Now a lot of it comes from the uber woke gender activists. calling gay people transphobic if don't have any interest in sleeping with a trans person.
