How did Gwyneth Paltrow grow up so rich?

Her dad produced a couple semi-popular shows in the 1980s. Her mom was a working actress but not like Goldie Hawn/Kate Hudson. Yet lore is that GOOP grew up in the lap of nepotism and luxury. Uh--how?

Bruce's family was of Eastern European Jewish descent with roots in Minsk. His paternal great-grandfather, whose surname was Paltrowicz, was a Rabbi in Nowogród, modern Belarus. His father and mother owned Paltrow Steel Company .

As Producer, the success of St. Elsewhere enabled he and his wife, Blythe Danner, to make early investments in both Microsoft and Apple Corp.

I made the last line up, but you can never really know how the wealth of people is accumulated. Gwyneth apparently grew up lucky.... and loved by nice, respected parents.

Being a TV producer in the 70s and 80s was pretty big money. And St Elsewhere was a very big show.
