Both of her books were fantastic - “Early Havoc” and “More Havoc.” I remember reading that she voted for Obama. A really interesting self taught woman.

Hey, I’m just discovering her illustrious career and accomplishments. I’ll check out her books.

Oh - you will really enjoy her books - they are real history lessons as well . She is a very entertains writer - you are in for a treat! She had a really complicated relationship with her sister Gypsy Rose Lee. Her descriptions of the grueling dance marathons she participated in during the depression are still interesting to read - I was going to say “harrowing” but I knew some would make fun of me!!

[quote]"It meant so much to (Gypsy), her precious illusion; it made her into an ingenue at last," Havoc remarked bitterly in 1998. "And I loved my sister, but I loathed her life."
