Ryan didn't want to be Speaker but was forced into it. I wonder what his future would have held if he remained a congressman. He was on the fast track and could have gone far but then Trump happened, turned the GOP to shit. Ryan could have worked both sides of the aisle but Trump made it impossible.

Biden is now at 50% approval according to the YouGov poll yesterday. Trump is hanging out at about 40% in the last poll I saw.

1. The democrats barely won. And they lost the house. I don't care if you have a different opinion. The truth is the truth. Don't accept it. The republicans will destroy everything in the next two years. And the democrats, as usual are not up to doing anything. They don't know how to fight back.

And by the way, there was just another insurrection in Brazil. This is going to be worldwide. The democrats COMPLETELY BLEW IT with not punishing trump right away. Louis Dejoy & Charles Flynn still have their jobs, despite being criminals and traitors to this country. Jerome Powell (trump's guy) was given another 4 yr term as the head of the Federal Reserve, despite missing inflation completely. This would all be laughable if it wasn't so sickening.

R26, you’re only half correct. None of this is as simple as you’re describing. Also, the GOP absolutely underperformed in the midterms, the Dems achieved wins not seen in a midterm for almost 100 years.

However, I am just as pissed off as you are, and no, I’m not holding my breath for the Dems. Both parties are overtaken by Corporatists, though the GOP is 10x’s worse because they are also traitors and some of them are allies of Russia.

R30, If you're a republican not voting for Trump, it's a loss in the republican column. Conversely, if you're a democrat not voting for Biden, it's a loss in the democratic column.

The majority of voters are women, so if they want Trump again, it's all on them!

White women have already thrown away Roe for a generation, if they want to lose everything else they can keep voting for Trump. Any woman who doesn't show up for Biden/Harris this year hates women (as many do) and deserve what they get. It's the rest of us I'll feel sorry for.

Donald Trump or Joe Biden will win the election. No third party candidate will. That’s a fact.

If you vote for a third party instead of Biden, you’ve just voted for Trump, because you’ve deprived Biden of a vote he needs to win, making it more likely Trump will win.

So what you described is not “politics 101,” it’s “misinformation 101.”

Democrats, or anyone who wants Trump to lose, even if you have problems with Biden (like I do), if you vote for anyone other than Biden, you are completely out of your tiny little mind.

R31 does not know the aphorism of not making perfect the enemy of the good. It's not ideal, but I'll happily take it - especially in battleground states - if heretofore solid republicans don't cast a ballot for Trump. The Great Realignment also applies in such instances.

R35, Fox devoted more stories to The Rock simply announcing he would not be endorsing Biden again to Trump's own vice president stating he would not be voting for his old boss.

If Paul Ryan and his fellow Republicans weren't so craven and morally bankrupt, they could have gotten rod of Trump years ago. But nobody was willing to stand up and put their country and the constitution before one corrupt individual.

Courage is not a virtue practiced by Republicans, R37. Otherwise they would not have nominated a gutless,spineless coward like Donald Trump.
