R16 Dial is okay as it’s neutral. Irish Spring stinks to high heaven to me.

I love Irish Spring and keep a bar in my car to make it smell fresh.

The concept behind Irish Spring Soap keeping mice away is pretty simple. Mice are very sensitive to smell and hate certain scents. One of these is heavily scented soap. Irish Spring soap is very heavily scented and so can be expected to chase the mice away.
