The tweet was about if Suburban White Women had twitter during the AIDS crisis in the 80s
In the 80s - Suburban White Women kept Ryan White and other HIV Pos kids out of school
Conservative Female politician in NYC once said "AIDS Virus has no civil rights" as she was advocating HIV Poz people be quarantined
I don't know what the pushback is about, because it would be WORSE if white women had twitter back in the 80s

From 1985 - Politician Diane McGrath McKechnie of NYC
AIDS Virus has NO civil rights - and she advocating for HIV Poz people to be quarantined
Imagine the power of her message if she had twitter back then

Suburban White Women are among the worst offenders--often highly educated BUT stuck at home with the kids because their husbands make lots of money, they freak about about every little thing that "might" endanger little Bobby.
Despite being educated, they quickly fall into conspiracy holes about vaccines, masking, etc.
AIDS would be right up there with dangers to Bobby. Anyone with AIDS would have no chance.

There's something funny about "Ugh, straight people!" and "Ugh, white people!" tweets. Maybe it's that they're mostly liked by the very groups the tweeter performatively indicts.

OP is knowingly trolling with this post.
What's going on in that Twitter thread is that the guy who wrote the tweet doesn't hate trans people, so all sorts of trans-hating assholes on Twitter are coming at him, saying "suburban white women saved the gays" which is not true. It's ahistorical. They're saying it to be contrary; the current anti-trans movement is full of this kind of ahistorical nonsense, but in this case I think it's just knee-jerk contrarianism because they hate the guy in question.
Some of the people getting the most likes for saying "white suburban women saved gays" aren't even American, but are pretending they are and were around during the US AIDS crisis.
OP surely hopes this thread eventually turns into some kind of anti-trans nonsense.

Sorry, what was the motivation for this divisive stupidity?
I liked the response by Val Stevens: "Well this suburban white woman was getting abuse and hate mail for supporting gay men and their rights during the AIDs crisis. This is when gay men were still unable to come out as gay. Look up Manchester City Council 1985 to 87. Check your misogyny."

I don't see any outrage, just some performative back and forth namecalling without any momentum. Is this supposed to trend? 🤷🏼♂️
