The people who work for these celebs all have circles and all communicate with one another and find out what is going on to make sure their star is always on trend, in the best circles etc. that’s their job.

There was a lot of whispering that most of the big name stars (who were invited) weren’t showing up this year out of protest against the HFPA. The show wasn’t broadcast for 2 years because no network or streamer would air them due to their outdated policies and not having a single black person in the HFPA. It was like 99.9% white. They added a handful of qualified black people thinking it would make things “right” but that only made people more upset because they were only doing it to appease people while never having down it prior in it’s almost 80 years of existence.

They got themselves in good graces enough to have NBC air them again this year, but many stars were still refusing to go. Tom Cruise, Brendan Fraser, Julia Roberts etc. all were not attending.

Zendaya was planning on attending but Zendaya’s publicist got wind that many of the bigger stars were not going supposedly so it would be a better look for her to not go either, and pretty much told her she isn’t the demographic for the men who vote anyway so she is most likely not winning. Zendaya went along with it and didn’t attend but to their surprise, the HFPA did give her the award. Zendaya is pissed now.

If Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell and Eddie Murphy were there, she should have showed up. Bad advice from someone.
