Paul Giamatti

Floundering? He is in tons of shit. I think he's a great actor. Kind of like a Philip Seymour Hoffman but hopefully without the tragedy.

The tragedy is already happening. He’s doing Verizon commercials!

Super hot dorky daddybear, who lost a lot of weight over the last year. Incredibly intense eyes.

Looks good even clean-shaven. Would totally do him.

He probably gets paid by Verizon what he'd get paid doing some 10-episode tv series. It's a fuckton of money for no work. And no, he is not hot or doable at all.

Because his dad's connections are all dead.

I know him a little, and have worked with him. He's a pretty grounded and very pleasant man.

But, compared to Stanley Tucci, Giamatti is an angel.

He seems insufferable. Or maybe he's just that good of an actor?

I feel like he peaked after Sideways. He's pretty limited, he needs to play a character he hasn't done before.

I was once walking up Lafayette Street in the early morning and saw a guy from distance who looked hot. We got closer and he looked hotter. Then we got really close and I saw it was Paul Giamatti. I still thought he was hot, but thought that I should not.

Major cognitive dissonance.

"San Andreas" is skillful schlock.

I admired how Giamatti, as the stock character genius earthquake scientist, never, in his performance, hinted at, or winked at us, of the ridiculousness of that film.

He played it so serious, so real.

I thought that was cool on his part.

R11, that is spot on. Tucci is as vile and fetid a person as it gets.

Stanley Tucci is the legitimately hot daddy, though.

Wait!!! We need to hear Tucci stories! I promise I’ll not derail us too much, I just never heard that before and loooooove him as an actor, and I’ve been watching his show about Italy/food. What a bummer.

Worked with both Marcus and Paul in theater back in the day. Both really great guys and I always felt bad for Marcus who was the sweet and sexy, if not as talented, older brother. I think maybe Marcus has left the biz.

Marcus is in the new season of "Bosch." He's a professor at Temple too.

I used to think he was really great, but after a while I kept seeing the same shtick from him, and it got old.

And I really started to dislike him after he did that "Billions" Showtime series. He and the other lead turned in two of the worst, almost comically awful, hammiest, moustache-twirling performances in recent memory.
