Cancelled too soon
Which show did YOU watch that you felt was cancelled too soon?
No need for a comprehensive list of every one that ever existed.....interested in learning which one you really liked that was axed before it had a chance to really do its thing.
The most recent for me was probably GCB.

2000 Malibu Road
The show deals with four women living together at a beach house located at 2000 Malibu Road: Jade (Lisa Hartman), a former prostitute trying to get out of the profession; Perry (Jennifer Beals), a young lawyer also escaping from her past (i.e. a slain fiancé police officer and a serious drinking problem); Lindsay (Drew Barrymore), a would-be actress trying to get the right break; and Joy (Tuesday Knight), Lindsay's overweight, overprotective, two-faced, manipulative sister, who also served as her agent. Jade owned the house. In order to leave her profession as a high priced prostitute, she took in roommates to help her pay for the house.
The series ended with several unresolved cliffhangers: Roger (Michael T. Weiss) was seen raping and beating Perry in a stairwell. Meanwhile, Porter's (Mitch Ryan) men shot Hal (Robert Foxworth) dead, and after arguing with Lindsay upon discovering she was sleeping with Eric (Brian Bloom), Joy was struck by lightning.[2] Lisa Hartman provided a closing narration to serve as a (perfunctory) tie-up for the characters, though possibly only on overseas broadcasts.[3]

Good and Evil. It was a Susan Harris sitcom/soap parody featuring Teri Garr (the evil sister) and Margaret Whitton (the good sister) as the daughter of cold bitch Marian Seldes.
Only last 6 episodes, it was like a 90s version of Soap.

Agree Star Trek: Enterprise
I rewatched Enterprise last year and it was much better than my old recollections. I think their problem is the stories started off so weak for the first season or so. As the show firmed up they already alienated too many viewers who had given up on them.
I particularly enjoyed their Mirror Universe episodes.

Trial & Error on NBC. It only had two short seasons. I thought it was hilarious. Nicholas D’Agosto was hot as the lead, and as much as I dislike her as “herself”, Sherri Shepherd is a talented comedic actress. I was hoping another network/streamer would have picked it up, but alas…

[bold]Flashforward[/bold] on ABC.
Everyone on Earth loses consciousness for 2+ minutes, during which time they have a flashforward vision of their lives in 6 months. With that premise, there were as many plotlines as there were characters and involved everything from government conspiracies and doomsday cults to marital infidelity, unexpected pregnancy, and apparent murder. The show also wrestled with ideas of mortality and whether the glimpsed destiny could be altered or not. Heady stuff.
I think [bold]Flashforward[/bold] was ahead of its time and would have done better in the current TV climate, with alternate channels, streaming services, etc. The show was very complex, which did not fit in well with standard network viewing habits of the time. (If you missed an episode, it could be very hard to catch back up.) It was also hurt by a long break, of almost 3 1/2 months, in the middle of its season.
Adding insult to injury, ABC cancelled the show with only 2 weeks left in the season. Though they tried to throw together an ending of some sort, it was impossible to tie up all the loose ends and come to a coherent resolution. It was an unsatisfying end to an extremely ambitious show.

R26, my mother wholeheartedly agreed with you. She wrote the television station to ask that Gidget stay on the air. To their credit, they wrote her back asking her to give The Flying Nun a chance.
The only time I took action after hearing a show was on the bubble was GCB. I signed a petition, wrote four advertisers and mailed five bibles into ABC.
The combination of Apt 23, Smash, Ugly Betty and GCB’s cancellations helped me to understand that my tastes were not shared by most of the broadcast television audience. I licked my wounds and stopped watching network TV.

I've always liked Eric Close. I discovered him on Santa Barbara, which I was watching to see what Kim Zimmer was up to post-Guiding Light, and my crush was instantaneous. I've always liked all-American boy types with brownish/reddish hair (cf. Topher Grace, Aaron Tveit). In fact, Eric and Aaron Tveit could play brothers very convincingly (though Eric is 16 years older).

The Greatest American Hero. It may have spanned three seasons on the books (IMDB), but there were only 40 episodes total, due to writers strike & such. And the possibilities with the suit were unlimited, since he didn't have the instruction manual!

The Carmichael Show.
Only 32 episodes over three seasons. One of the best.

Tell Me you Love Me, with Jane Alexander as a therapist who is counseling three couples with problems in their relationships. So true-to-life I almost couldn't make myself watch it. Jane is, as always, incredible. Ten episodes on HBO, not renewed. Adam Scott was in this as well, for those of you who liked him when he was young.

Y:THE LAST MAN is one of my favorite comics series ever, and I had been waiting on the tv adaptation forever. The resulting series wasn’t GREAT, but it did deserve to continue since it had barely scratched the surface of the original story. I was very surprised it wasn’t renewed.
