I've been hooked on '1923' - the new spinoff of 'Yellowstone'. It's much more entertaining than 'Yellowstone' with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford in the leads. The standout, though, is Brandon Sklenar who plays 'Spencer Dutton' the wayward son who left Montana for the jungles of Africa. Damn- the blue eyes, the just enough scruff and mustache, the perfect amount of hair on his sculpted chest - this guy's a winner. His adventurous character seems to be modeld after Indiana Jones from 1981. The guy is mouthwatering. Can't find much personal info on him on the internet (not even the year he was born, but I'm guessing late 30s / early 40s). If you have any info or sexy photos to contribute - please do !
Anyone watching "1923" with hunky Brandon Sklenar ?

Do I pronounce "Sklenar" as 'Sklenner'?
Or as 'Skle-nah'?

[R1] In the throes of passion, you can yell out any pronounciation you want.
Just don't yell out 'Let's go, Brandon!' - that's reserved for my time with him when he's coming at me with his boner.

He may have two big boobies but he isn't photogenic at all.

I think he looks really good on the show. In still photos, not so much.

OP, we have looked and none are as good as your poorly-lit picture.

Why worry about the face with a rack like that?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 9, 2023 2:04 AM |
His face is fine. R12 needs an eye exam.

I LOVE 1923!! But then, I've loved YELLOWSTONE from the word "go" (when it was just this new show on Paramount Network with Kevin Costner & horses), and I loved 1883, too. Spencer (who is clearly supposed to be Kacey's pre-cursor) and Cara (Helen Mirren) are running away with this thing.

It’s not just his appearance, but he REEKS of sex and has a swarthy look about him for a white guy. When R12 says “weak” I would argue he has delicate features, which can be incredibly hot with scruff and the outfit. All the men of Yellowstone are sexy in their own way and flavor. It made me find a few attractive even if they aren’t my type.
I too love Yellowstone for the breathless scenery, family and coworker rivalry- even if some of the plots have giant holes in them, border of ridiculousness, and have followed all three generations of shows. I would advise “banking” a few episodes rather than streaming them all at once.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 10, 2023 8:55 AM |
It's OK, but 1883 was much better.

Doesn't he fit your racial expectations?

R18, I worked behind the scenes and what producer can do with a bit of makeup, tailoring and outfits, and the fact that movies are two dimensional (and what they can hide in an actor’s shortcomings in that missing third dimension) is AMAZING.
A young Tom Cruise is a great example of staging trickery…
I tend toward darker, swarthier guys, but wouldn’t throw Brandon out of bed!

Sklenář!
Did I say it right?

I watched '1883' first last year, and was blown away by the story and the acting of the two main stars (McGraw and Hill). It was great.
Then I binged the first few seasons of 'Yellowstone' and I'm currently watching Season 5 - it has gotten too repetitive and the episodes of season 5 have been too much filler episodes. Feels like the writers don't know where to go from here. ('Beth' is becoming a joke).
I'm loving '1923'

I tried to like and get into the programme, but it just wasn't for me. I just couldn't suspend reality enough with Dame Helen being in it. It was like watching The Queen in the wild west.
The object of the OP's lust though, is a dish.

R13 that's what they used to say about me!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 13, 2023 10:48 AM |
What are these shows even about? Are they are just rip offs of Lonesome Dove?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 13, 2023 10:53 AM |
Do you have to watch Yellowstone through first and then 1881 and then 1923 or does it not matter?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 13, 2023 10:57 AM |
I hope he has a good career but my god what a nonentity when he has no facial hair. Could not pick him out of a lineup, or describe him based on memory. He can never shave his mustache now. He will have to be like Tom Selleck.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 13, 2023 1:50 PM |
He sort of looks like Jonah Hauer King with watered down facial features.

That being said, Jesus Christ, look at his chest
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 13, 2023 1:56 PM |
The actor is hot AF, but I don't think the character he plays has ever cracked a smile.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 13, 2023 1:57 PM |
R26: No, I don't think you need to watch Yellowstone before 1883. All you need to know is that Tim McGraw is Kevin Costner's great-great-great (?) grandfather. I think we're still a little unclear on how many greats, but whatever -- the first Dutton to go West. I do think you should watch 1883 before 1923, however.

Did he do much in this—?

He looks like a sheepherder.
And his costar looks like Tori Spelling.

Does Harrison Ford actually give a performance in this, or does he just do his usual thing?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 16, 2023 10:27 PM |
Ford wears so much make-up he looks a 100 years old.
I've never see so many shaking jowls and such a soft wattle.

I just finished season 2, which was also the series finale. It deserved all the praise it has received. One of the better shows streaming on television. Skelnar is incredibly sexy and a damn good actor.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 12, 2025 3:22 PM |
Just finished it. I hope he is going to continue in the next series, 1944. His son will be the Grandfather of Kevin Costner, I think.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 12, 2025 3:34 PM |
I was unaware of Brandon but just looked him up, and I think he looks sort of like a combination of Glen Powell and Chris Evans, which is a VERY nice combination :-)

He’s a wonderful human being

Just saw him in “Drop” yesterday and he was great (and hot).
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 12, 2025 4:04 PM |
R40 I think Spencer's baby 'John' born in 1924 is Costner's father, and Spencer is Costner's (John Dutton) grandfather. They said Costner's character was 68 when he died in 2024, so he was born in 1956. That would make his dad 42 when he was born, if we go by the '1923' series. That makes more sense than if his dad was born in '1944' (with only 12 years apart). Going by the series '1923' we also know Spencer died in 1969, which would've made his grandson (Costner's character) 13. As for Spencer, he was born into the family as the youngest child on the series '1883' so I'm assuming he is supposed to be in his mid-30s to early 40s when his son (Costner's dad) was born. Spencer himself was probably in is 80s when he died in 1969.
