Seeing that Jerry Springer episode about flyover homos in love with the same fat chick got me thinking about the deliciously 90s Ricki Lake Show.
Ricki was a bit of an actress (in talent, not in size), who seemingly abandoned that career in favor of a hip 90s daytime talk show. While Oprah chased world domination and Jerry Springer chased syphilitic redneck dollars, Ricki Lake chased young audiences and Black women as her core. Her topics were often racy and very specific, but people seemed to have a lot of fun with it.
Here's a blurry episode about some gays scratching out the eyes of other gays who Go Too Far.
Is this basically Data Lounge in talk show form?
