There is a subreddit or whatever its called for tall people. All things tall is discussed but mostly it is topics concerning tall women liking short or tall men, tall men liking short or tall women and exhaustive implications and who prefers who.
But if you are gay, say you would like a tall guy to date and the place goes apeshit. They are not a fetish object!!!
I like short and tall, but I really like tall. But now I have a fetish, and that is disgusting to them.

I've always preferred tall men - 6'2 to 6'6" - any taller and that's just too tall for me.
However, it hardly rises to "fetish" levels of attraction.

I never understood the rigid rules of so many gay men about the height range they find acceptable.
If I saw someone who there's wildly above me or looked positively tony next to me, I might in the back of my mind dismiss them from consideration. -+ the same way that, when I see a woman, I exclude her from the "Is he attractive?", "Would I fuck that?" screenings that a brain does, but I never though to give specific feet and inches or centimeters to the equation. A lot of gay men have surprised me, though, with their own equations that seem hard and fast, like the casting director for a TV commercial.

OP here. The fact that straight men and women can openly post on Reddit their very particular preferences of having a tall man or tall woman, and then discuss all the nuances and for women VERY specific height barriers, but a gay man posts his preference for a tall man generally and is crucified mystifies me. Well, maybe not, the homophobia of course.

R1, of course! I currently have a crush on the guy in my apartment complex that is 5'4". I think I terrify him or something, he looks like he is in panic mode when I talk with him. I am 6'1" and 245. But I have been with a guy that was 6'6" and 300. I just would like to experience that again.

6'3" tall guy here. Other tall guys are alarming in my experience. Since I have to look down to most people, looking up comes as strange to me. Besides, there's nothing hotter than topping a short guy with his legs wrapped around my ass.
