I certainly appreciate what's on display, but I always thought there was an absolute and unquestioned ban on photos of pro athletes in the showers. I wonder where that photo is from.

There are many naked locker room pictures of pros out there, r12. I think the Life Magazine archive has them. They were usually cropped before publication though--if they were published.

Interesting R13, and I bet with the Life Magazine reference they are, by definition, from pre-Internet days. Locker room shots, sure, but in the showers? Seems an odd place to allow the press. Possibly there was a lot less self-consciousness in those days and guys' bodies weren't objectified in the way that women's bodies always had been. I read where some kooks think communal showers are perfect for groomers (oy vey!) but I grew up taking them with nothing weird happening.
