Prince Louis Was So Caught Up Greeting Well-Wishers on Christmas Day That He Fell Behind the Rest of the Royal Family

Wherever Prince Louis goes, it seems, he becomes the star of the show (hello Platinum Jubilee!), and his debut Christmas walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham on Sunday was no exception. From stepping in to cheer up Queen Consort Camilla at just the right moment to giving flowers to his big sister Princess Charlotte, Louis once again stole the show—and we’re still taken by an adorable moment from Sunday morning where little Louis thought he was left behind during the family’s walk to church.

Louis was so busy chatting up the crowds of well-wishers that lined the path that at one point he realized that his family had continued walking on without him.

In a hilarious clip posted to Twitter, we see Louis—gifts in both hands—running off to catch up with his family, who were by now so far ahead of him that we never see any of them in the short clip. As he ran, he shouted “Charlotte!”—presumably asking his older sister to wait up for him.

“Photogs caught another funny moment when Louis can be seen pulling his mom [the Princess of Wales] away from the crowd, seemingly wanting her to hurry up with the small talk,” OK reports.

Three things we can count on in this life: death, taxes, and Louis stealing our hearts, wherever he goes.

It’s amazing how easily a 4-year-old grasped the concept of the walkabout. Perhaps Duchess Desperation should take note.

by Anonymousreply 2December 29, 2022 10:09 PM

That's a boy's coat, r1.

by Anonymousreply 3December 29, 2022 10:09 PM

Pretty Soon, Charles will be jealous of him, too.

by Anonymousreply 4December 29, 2022 10:12 PM

R4 must be one of those dumb Americans who doesn't understand a thing.

by Anonymousreply 5December 29, 2022 10:13 PM

He is a cute kid.

by Anonymousreply 6December 29, 2022 10:29 PM

[quote] That's a boy's coat, R1.

It's NOT a boy's coat R3.

There was an article about how Louis specifically asked his mother if he could use Charlotte's coat for the outing.

by Anonymousreply 7December 29, 2022 10:29 PM

they’re cute at that age

by Anonymousreply 8December 29, 2022 10:36 PM

Did they question him about his plagiarism?

by Anonymousreply 9December 29, 2022 10:40 PM

It's a boy's coat r3, the buttons are on the right. It's not Charlotte's coat, only an idiot would believe that. In the photo at the top of OP's link you can see Charlotte's coat with the buttons on the left and Louis' coat with the buttons on the left.

by Anonymousreply 10December 29, 2022 10:45 PM

Obviously I am addressing r7.

by Anonymousreply 11December 29, 2022 10:46 PM

R9, you twit. You’re picking on the wrong child.

Hannah Dale, the artist who inspired Prince George’s reindeer painting said, “He’s obviously got talent. He has an eye for form and colour. It was lovely. It was really lovely to see.”

by Anonymousreply 12December 29, 2022 10:52 PM

R5 It posts a lot of stupid shit and understands very little

by Anonymousreply 13December 29, 2022 11:26 PM

OP / R7 and your other stupid replies to self, you are truly a complete moron

by Anonymousreply 14December 29, 2022 11:27 PM

The kids all looked so cute!

by Anonymousreply 15December 31, 2022 11:55 PM

He looked cute there. Will be interesting to see more of his personality. I was "concerned" when he was giving Kate a hard time at one of the Jubilee events.

by Anonymousreply 16January 1, 2023 12:03 AM

Nobody cares.

by Anonymousreply 17January 1, 2023 12:10 AM

Four year olds are like that, r16, especially at big events with lots of people and lots of noise. Louis was fine.

by Anonymousreply 18January 1, 2023 12:11 AM

Enjoy being cute, kid, before those shitty genes of yours kick in and you fug out.

by Anonymousreply 19January 1, 2023 12:20 AM

[quote]his family had continued walking on without him.

[quote]his family, who were by now so far ahead of him that we never see any of them in the short clip

He's five. Any non-royal woman leaving her little kid behind like this would have received 100 death threats from DLers by now, and we'd have 4 separate threads on it, one dedicated to people explaining just how they would force all women to take IQ tests before they were allowed to breed.

by Anonymousreply 20January 1, 2023 12:25 AM

Lucky there were security guards everywhere r20, and a cordon plus cameras and 100s of eye witnesses.

by Anonymousreply 21January 1, 2023 12:29 AM

This has to be the biggest non-story ever.

by Anonymousreply 22January 1, 2023 12:31 AM

He doesn't look like anyone in the family. Who did Kate fuck to get pregnant with him? That is not William's child.

by Anonymousreply 23January 1, 2023 12:34 AM

He was reminding me of young Prince Andrew, actually. (Looks-wise.)

by Anonymousreply 24January 1, 2023 12:37 AM

Sure R23 - he looks like nobody except his brother, sister, father as a child and his maternal grandfather.

Very uncool picking on a child but you Sussex stans have always been trash.

by Anonymousreply 25January 1, 2023 1:17 AM

Hopefully he will find a purpose in life and not end up like his uncle.

by Anonymousreply 26January 1, 2023 1:29 AM

Kate is frigid, so we should be asking who is Louis' mother?

Rose Hanbury, maybe?

by Anonymousreply 27January 1, 2023 1:32 AM

You don’t understand the basics of biology, do you, R27? Sussex stans are not just trash but fucking stupid.

by Anonymousreply 28January 1, 2023 1:36 AM

How can you spot a Sussex Squad member? They still don’t know how to spell “Cholmondeley” so they call the Marchioness of Cholmondeley “Rose Hanbury” when repeating the lie that Giles Corey first spread while drunk, subsequently recanted by him.

You’re out of your depth here, R27 - but you must be used to that in your sad little life.

by Anonymousreply 29January 1, 2023 1:40 AM

The Chumley whore. This generation's camilla parker bowles

by Anonymousreply 30January 1, 2023 1:46 AM

You still can’t spell it, R30? But at least you can pronounce it.

Meghan would be very disapproving of your misogyny, though.

by Anonymousreply 31January 1, 2023 1:59 AM

Clearly, they have switched Louises. Incorrigible Louis is at home in the naughty corner scratching the paint off the walls, while his well-behaved double is charming the walkabout crowds with his Little Lord Fauntleroy act.

by Anonymousreply 32January 1, 2023 2:35 AM

R16 “Concerned?” Why? All we saw was a 4 year old overstimulated by travel to Wales and Jubilee activities. Fly overs, trumpets, pageantry, music, extended family, the public, trooping the colour, parades, etc.

by Anonymousreply 33January 1, 2023 2:45 AM

I can't think of anyone more deserving of this little monster than Waity KKKhatie 😏

by Anonymousreply 35January 1, 2023 3:49 AM

r23, he looks like Kate's family, you idiot.

by Anonymousreply 36January 1, 2023 3:50 AM

Boy's coat but I have it on good authority he's wearing girls panties.

by Anonymousreply 37January 1, 2023 3:50 AM

He’s trans. Wait for the ball gowns.

by Anonymousreply 38January 1, 2023 4:23 AM

I think it's a frau thread, R22

by Anonymousreply 39January 1, 2023 4:48 AM

Can’t see the videos, but the pictures are very cute.

by Anonymousreply 40January 1, 2023 4:59 AM

[quote] Clearly, they have switched Louises

That's going to be his trans-name. Louise.

Louis will be his "dead name" after he transitions.

He'll have to fight the other Lady Louise over property rights to the name.

by Anonymousreply 41January 1, 2023 5:24 AM

You’re trying really hard, R41, but failing miserably. Again.

by Anonymousreply 42January 1, 2023 5:53 AM

[quote]He doesn't look like anyone in the family.

He looks like Kate's parents but also has a bit of the Spencers in his face, especially a young Frances Kydd.

by Anonymousreply 43January 1, 2023 8:09 AM

In the OP he sort of reminds me of the Swedish royals.

by Anonymousreply 44January 1, 2023 8:22 AM

he has harry's eyes.

by Anonymousreply 45January 1, 2023 8:30 AM

He was taking a moment to catch a second breath before physically assaulting his mum.

by Anonymousreply 46January 1, 2023 11:17 AM

I am feeling very violated by this story.

by Anonymousreply 47January 1, 2023 11:44 AM

Lol R46!

by Anonymousreply 48January 1, 2023 12:32 PM

He's a little cutie. And that's very bold of him to chat up strangers (even if they are behind the rope line) with his parents by his side. 10-15 years from now, that kid is going to be all over the tabs as some little heartbreaker/most eligible bachelor (even if he is a spare)

by Anonymousreply 49January 1, 2023 12:43 PM

You can see it already r49. He's going to be gorgeous. He has charisma too.

by Anonymousreply 50January 1, 2023 12:49 PM

Just the other day he was out with Kate and the family in front of the crowds and she was talking to someone and he rudely pulled her away. She just went with him. I guess she didn't want him causing a scene. He seriously dragged her through the crowd.

There's something wrong with him. Don't give me any of that "he's stimulated from travel" bullshit. He's a terror. No wonder they barely bring him anywhere

by Anonymousreply 51January 2, 2023 8:23 AM

Which one is the faggot again—George or Louis?

Or is Diana's spawn just twice lucky?

by Anonymousreply 52January 2, 2023 8:29 AM

Louis is a psycho.

But I see the Klan Grannies from the Daily Fail are infesting this thread, and backing up his behavior.

If it were Archie or Lili acting like that, I'm sure they would attribute it to his "ethnic heritage."

Fucking cunts.

by Anonymousreply 55January 2, 2023 3:00 PM

by Anonymousreply 57January 2, 2023 3:56 PM

Speak for yourself frau. I don't give a fuck about the privileged pampered spawn of the Markles.

by Anonymousreply 58January 2, 2023 4:05 PM

[quote]Wow, talk about projecting your own sick attitude to justify your hatred. No one criticises Archie or Lilibet. We do, however, pity them for their awful parents.

Actually no. You all said Archie was retarded or had some kind of problems, and that was just his parents releasing his photo. One photo and you cunts were all saying that.

So yes R57, you all did say that. I've never seen a kid act like this kid has. This is why the parents barely bring him anywhere

Poor Kate. The husband who strays, the little Omen and she has to singlehandedly hold that entire family together.

by Anonymousreply 59January 8, 2023 3:22 PM

I am sure Prince Louis will be raised to be better adjusted to life than Harry . William and Catherine look to be devoted and conscientious parents .

by Anonymousreply 60January 8, 2023 3:32 PM

R59 is clearly a child hater and never spent time with children. They seem to be seething with envy over Kate's marriage and projecting Harry and Megan's lifelong trouble with infidelity on others. If you want to see actual problematic childhood behavior, look no further than videos of Harry and Meghan as children.

by Anonymousreply 61January 8, 2023 3:41 PM

"I am sure Prince Louis will be raised to be better adjusted to life than Harry ."

Yes, people that are waited on hand and foot, bowed to, don't have to do shit except breathe, and have everything served to them on a silver platter are highly well adjusted.

by Anonymousreply 62January 8, 2023 3:48 PM

I hate how Kate dresses them like they live in the 19th century.

by Anonymousreply 63January 8, 2023 4:03 PM

Except they aren't, R62. That's a gross simplification, but I am encouraged to see you haven't lost Britain's resentment based GERD over the generations. The teeth aren't so bad as they were, but you can always tell a grump, envious Englishman.

by Anonymousreply 64January 8, 2023 4:03 PM

Of course Archie will act retarded one day no matter what. Look at his demented father(calling Harry dense is kindness) and the greedy grasping lady behind and in front of him forcing him to greater heights of imbecility. That is of course if the Taliban doesn't round them up and cut off their heads in some basement somewhere first. Those kids are fucked.

by Anonymousreply 65January 8, 2023 4:33 PM

I am sincerely done with the BRF. I'm not British, so I never really understood how its every move is rigorously scripted, cultivated, calculated and orchestrated. The commentary is strictly its PR apparatus. It is ALL artifice.

by Anonymousreply 67January 8, 2023 5:49 PM

R63 She dresses them the way that the English aristocracy dresses their children for special occasions.

You’re an American hick so of course you wouldn’t understand that.

by Anonymousreply 68January 8, 2023 7:27 PM

Yes r63 it’s literal child abuse the way that the Waleses dress their children - positively Dickensian!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 69January 8, 2023 8:12 PM

R68 Haha I'm not American. I'm from sunny Northants. But you made my point for me; she dresses their children the way she's 'supposed' to, rather than how she (a middle class daughter of an air hostess) would naturally. It's all so try hard and performative.

by Anonymousreply 70January 8, 2023 9:02 PM

Oh, for Christ's sake. Most people dress their children the way they're supposed to, depending on how they live their lives, the people around them and the norms that flow as a result. I can't even begin to figure out where that kind of snobbery comes from in R70.

by Anonymousreply 71January 8, 2023 9:17 PM

That's pretty middle class American dress in that photo, btw.

Also from an American designer.

Who wants to be American? All the fucking world!

by Anonymousreply 72January 8, 2023 9:25 PM

R71 It's not snobbery; it's fact.

by Anonymousreply 73January 8, 2023 9:41 PM

R71 talk about snobbery! You gave yourself away with “air hostess”.

By the way, gramps, we haven’t called them “air hostesses” for about forty years.

She and her family are royal and her children are dressed entirely appropriately for their role and class.

Now you get back to bitterly obsessing over “air hostesses” while drinking your cheap gin in the midlands.

by Anonymousreply 74January 8, 2023 10:07 PM

^^^ apologies R71 - that was meant for the snobbish relic at R70.

by Anonymousreply 75January 8, 2023 10:09 PM

Fact like you're a troll, R73. And not a very effective or clever one. Bye now.

by Anonymousreply 76January 8, 2023 10:14 PM

So who is William looking at in that photo? Is one of the royal mistresses hiding in the trees?

by Anonymousreply 77January 8, 2023 10:53 PM

R70 is one of those lower middle class queens, sitting in his bedsit, bitter that the English class system never allowed him to climb up the ladder.

by Anonymousreply 78January 8, 2023 10:54 PM

R77 your ancestors might have just climbed down from the trees but I doubt that any of the aristocracy still live in them.

by Anonymousreply 84January 9, 2023 3:17 AM

R70 do you think that the way that Zara and Mike Tindall dress their daughters is “performative”? Mike’s middle class. How about the Wessexes? Sophie was middle class. They dress their children very conservatively. How about Peter Phillips and his ex wife Autumn - she was - oh the humanity! - *working class* - and had the temerity to dress their two daughters in the same way as the children of their cousins. The Xmas day walk to church at Sandringham must have really set your curtain-twitching old self off!

Why is it only the Waleses who you call out? Oh that’s right - Mum was a flight attendant. She and her husband are also self-made multi millionaires. I’ll bet that gets your panties in a bunch - new money, how vulgar!

by Anonymousreply 85January 9, 2023 4:46 AM

Does sassy Little George get along with him?

by Anonymousreply 86January 9, 2023 4:49 AM

Try hard and performative perfectly describes r70. And Meghan Markle.

by Anonymousreply 87January 9, 2023 10:24 AM

R70 is a fucking idiot.

by Anonymousreply 88January 9, 2023 10:29 AM

R70 here. I didn't think what I said was that controversial to be honest. First I was accused of being an American hick, then when I posted again I was accused of being a snob. Although I thought it was pretty obvious the air hostess comment was tongue in cheek based on the fact I'd already been called a hick by that point.

I consider myself middle class - as most people are in this country - and as Kate would be had she not married William. No bedsit, but nothing too palatial either - a detached house. I'm not saying any of this to impress, just to correct a few things that were assumed about me. I think the way the Royal children are generally dressed is performative. I mean, come on, would any children their age really be dressed in coats like the above to go to church at Christmas? Nope. It's out of touch.

I'm not for a second suggesting they should be dressed like scruffs, but I think the RF would really do themselves a favour if they tried to at least act a little less like something out of the 19th century aristocracy. And I'm not just talking about what they wear. I'm far from the only Brit who thinks it and I don't see why it seems to have upset so many people. Maybe they're the social climbers considering they're getting upset by me being critical of something they aspire to be?

by Anonymousreply 89January 9, 2023 2:14 PM

The royal family don't dress like something out of the 19th-century aristocracy, r89.

by Anonymousreply 90January 9, 2023 2:51 PM

R90 They're out of touch, though. And Kate has no place being out of touch when she was raised middle class. That's my point.

by Anonymousreply 91January 9, 2023 5:02 PM

R90. They should. They act like it.

by Anonymousreply 92January 9, 2023 5:44 PM

R64, I have more royal English and Scottish blood in me than you have in your toenail, so watch it, when I come over you may have to bow to me, or present something.

by Anonymousreply 93January 9, 2023 5:49 PM

On DL I expect gossipy dirt, bitchiness, snobby condescension and jokes in extremely poor taste but the one truly intolerable unacceptable topic is children's clothing as if we had all had elementary school age children and were on a facebook mothers' group. I am appalled that a bunch of horny mostly old gay men would find such a topic of interest.

by Anonymousreply 94January 9, 2023 5:49 PM

R93, I keep telling you, not gonna happen. You don't see what the rest of us see.

by Anonymousreply 95January 9, 2023 6:09 PM

Oooh a detached house - fancy! Do you write for the Mail, R89?

by Anonymousreply 96January 9, 2023 7:30 PM

You don't have a point, r91. You're trying to say something witty about class and failing. I'm not sure in what way the royal family are "out of touch". They have a certain role to play in the British constitution and in British society and they play it well. I suspect they engage more with a wider range of people, with more vulnerable social groups, with more diverse communities, and people in a far wider range of professions and occupations across British society than you do.

by Anonymousreply 97January 9, 2023 7:39 PM

R96 What part of "I'm not saying any of this to impress" are you struggling with?

R97 I wasn't trying to be witty; I was just expressing my viewpoint. I suspect they do engage more with those groups than I do, but that's only because it's all arranged for them and all they have to do is show up. It's not like it's out of the goodness of their hearts.

I didn't realise DL had turned into a Royal Family fan site. Heaven forbid some of us think they're pointless.

by Anonymousreply 98January 9, 2023 9:47 PM

It's fine for you to think they're pointless, r98, as long as you acknowledge that your political opposition to the monarchy colours your perspective of them.

Are you one of those who was praising Harry for blowing the lid off the institution up until a few days ago?

by Anonymousreply 99January 9, 2023 10:04 PM

R99 No, I think Harry's a whiny dickhead as well. I think more people here share my view (that they're all a waste of space).

by Anonymousreply 100January 9, 2023 10:08 PM

The problem, R98, is that every time you post a response on this thread another mean little snippet of classism is included. When these get pointed out you try and walk back what you’ve said (e.g. the “air hostess” comment).

You’ll be telling us that the Middletons have gotten above their station next!

Welcome to 1965.

by Anonymousreply 101January 9, 2023 10:27 PM

R98 would have considerable expertise in pointless.

by Anonymousreply 102January 9, 2023 10:38 PM

R102 If you're talking about the TV quiz show Pointless I agree, I'm great at it.

And just to keep it on topic, rumour has it that the Queen was a big fan of Pointless, too!

You must know all about that, shit for brains. You're a shit for brains, liar.

by Anonymousreply 104January 11, 2023 2:43 AM

"I think the way the Royal children are generally dressed is performative"

Yes, and you may have missed the fact that it's fucking NORMAL to present children performatively on special occasions. When Mr. and Mrs. Middle-Majority take their kids to a wedding or funeral or some other solemn occasion, they will have the kids dress in stuffier clothes than usual grubby crap from Walmart, and tell them to behave.

It is also the job of the Prince and Princess of Wales to present their children to the public in a deliberately performative way, to show the British public that the future monarch is learning the art of appearing before the public and impressing the media. When Prince George shows up at a state funeral, looking solemn and wearing something practically Edwardian, you bet your ass it's a performance! That's what royals do, they inhabit the role of King or Prince or whatever, they hide their real selves and perform the role of Perfectly Regal Prince or King, a role they start rehearsing when they're small children, and which they'd damn well better be good at by the time they're adults.

by Anonymousreply 105January 11, 2023 3:38 AM

[quote]I think the way the Royal children are generally dressed is performative.

You're exactly right r89, the way they all dress is performative, and on royal fashion threads this is fully acknowledged, but on threads like these which are supposed to elevate Kate and William, you're not "supposed" to mention it because it upsets the fangirls.

[quote]I'm not for a second suggesting they should be dressed like scruffs, but I think the RF would really do themselves a favour if they tried to at least act a little less like something out of the 19th century aristocracy.

A valid opinion and one that has been made for decades.

You have to understand that DL isn't a royal fan site, but the worst of the royal fangirls who want to say really inappropriate things about Harry and Meghan come here because they would get banned if they said their piece anywhere else, and their presence has turned every royal family thread into this haven of really unstable women who get extremely angry at the drop of a hat.

by Anonymousreply 106January 11, 2023 3:52 AM

R106 really unstable women plus a couple of prissy English queens, bitter at the rise of the Princess of Wales from air hostess’s daughter to future Queen Consort.

I don't think there's any basis to suggest the Cambridge children are dressed performatively. They're dressed in public like children of their situation in life. They're also pretty regularly seen in hand me downs - sometimes hand-me downs from father to son, not just sibling to sibling. As their parents are pretty determined to give them privacy, no one knows how they dress in private. But the racist chess pieces who come here to be just what they accuse us of being will twist it to make up for their own shitty lives and that shitty, petty horse that somehow gives them meaning.

Oh, r108 absolutely nobody is envious of Meghan! With her looks, figure, history and level of "talents" the thought is utterly laughable.

by Anonymousreply 114January 11, 2023 11:03 PM

I can’t believe anyone cares about this subject.

by Anonymousreply 115January 11, 2023 11:15 PM

O ffs you clueless Americans thinking the UK is still stuck in the class system like when you watched Downton Abbey.

Catherine went to Marlborough. Just because she wasn't born with a title doesn't mean she's middle class. The vast majority of William and Harry's closest friends don't have titles. It doesn't mean they're middle class. Considering you spend all day, every day talking about this subject you'd think you'd at least have got some kind of grasp of it by now.

British society has changed since that week you spent here in 1963.

by Anonymousreply 116January 11, 2023 11:27 PM

R116 the poster who keeps reiterating on Kate being from the middle class has already revealed himself as living in Northants, middle class and “living in a detached house”.

It doesn’t get any more English than that!

He also introduced “performative” into this thread’s lexicon.

Check out R70 and R89.

by Anonymousreply 117January 12, 2023 1:02 AM

I would have thought that bragging about living “in a detached house” was a major lower middle-class indicator - someone who grew up in a terrace house hauling himself up by the bootstraps and proud of having his own walls.

Which is funny - there aren’t any detached houses in Eaton Square!

by Anonymousreply 118January 12, 2023 1:29 AM

R89 would you rather Charles have a fedora or homberg placed on his head rather than the St Edwards Crown at his coronation?

Crowns are a bit try hard and performative and out of touch in 2023, no?

by Anonymousreply 119January 12, 2023 1:35 AM

^ WTF?

by Anonymousreply 120January 12, 2023 1:42 AM

Try reading the thread R120.

R116 Going to a private school doesn't automatically mean someone is upper class. The only guarantee is that their parents are wealthy.

I don't have anything against Kate, but she definitely accentuates her accent a bit, perhaps unconsciously. I honestly think she sounds 'posher' than Harry and William do.

by Anonymousreply 122January 15, 2023 11:34 PM

R122 I think it’s an insecurity thing - Crown Princess Mary married into the Danish royal family from the Australian middle class although with much less money behind her - her dad was an academic and she went to state schools.

She immersed herself in learning Danish - no easy feat especially in your thirties - and people noticed that when she spoke in English that she sounded vaguely mid European and had lost her Australian accent. Twenty years later and with confidence, the Australian twang has returned a little to her English.

I think that Sophie still sounds middle class.

Then there’s Princess Michael who has obliterated anything to do with her Australian upbringing.

by Anonymousreply 123January 15, 2023 11:41 PM

I'm sure Charles hates his guts by now.

by Anonymousreply 124January 16, 2023 12:17 AM

Yes, Charles hates his grandson’s guts 🙄

Also, to the nitwit at R123, Princess Michael is of AUSTRIAN descent.

by Anonymousreply 125January 16, 2023 3:58 AM

R125 - nitwit here. You may want to work on your reading skills. Here’s the deal on Marie-Christine:

Of Austria-Hungarian descent. Father was Baron Gunther von Reibnitz. Mother married the Baron without realising that he was already married. That bigamy means that MC’s title of “Baroness” is spurious.

Parents separated at end of WW2 - father emigrated to Mozambique, mother and MC and her brother moved to Sydney Australia (not Austria - as an Australian I’m used to oblivious Americans not knowing the difference).

They initially lived in a flat behind the Bondi junction tram yards, then moved to nearby Double Bay where her mother opened a hairdressing salon and the family lived in a two bedroom flat above the shop.

MC was sent to the very exclusive Convent of the Sacred Heart in Rose Bay - who paid the fees is not clear.

While at school MC was known as plain old Marie Reibnitz with tree trunk legs and a broad Australian accent and was nicknamed “Schnitzel” as she never stopped talking about her grand origins.

She left school, saved some money and boarded a ship to England where Aussie Marie disembarked as “Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz” and with a vaguely middle European accent.

She has never returned to Australia.

I don’t have time to go into her career in the UK but it’s all in the public domain.

R125 i’m standing by for your apology. Who’s the nitwit now?

by Anonymousreply 126January 16, 2023 6:20 AM

R122, Kate is a woman therefore she speaks in a "softer" way than William and Harry, which you mistake for her trying to sound posher.

Thankfully she doesn't try to change her accent to make it sound as though she's down with the kids.

[quote] Yes, Charles hates his grandson’s guts

You clearly don't know much about Charles and his rampant ego. His jealously of Diana's popularity was a prime factor in breaking up their marriage. He apparently has the same feelings about Katherine. Now that Louis is getting more and more popular don't think Charles won't harbor jealousy about his own grandson. Charles is quite childish and does not like to be shown up by anyone, even a close family member.

by Anonymousreply 128January 16, 2023 11:44 AM

You don't know the first thing about Charles, r128.

by Anonymousreply 129January 16, 2023 2:23 PM

[quote]He apparently has the same feelings about Katherine.

Says apparently who?

by Anonymousreply 130January 16, 2023 3:34 PM

R129, it’s sadly ironic that you would scream bloody murder if someone said the same to you, suggesting you replace “Charles” with “Harry” or “Meghan.”

by Anonymousreply 131January 16, 2023 3:36 PM

R131, we all know what Harry and Meghan are saying and thinking from their interminable TV shows and books. Your "knowledge" of Charles is based not on anything he says, does or thinks, but on scurrilous gossip and bullshit misrepresentation. You have fallen for the proverbial tabloid image.
