I have wondered about this too. I remember there being a bit of coverage after Coleman was arrested. Jane Velez-Mitchell's show on HLN was a guilty pleasure for me and I used to occasionally tune into Nancy Grace's show even though she annoyed the fuck out of me. It was either Mitchell or Grace's show where they had discussed rumors that Meyers hired a PR crisis person to help with media coverage and to help her distance herself from Coleman. Sometime after the coverage stopped and I recall the trial didn't receive a lot of coverage either.

Sheri's family's wronful death suit against Meyer was dismissed. They had alleged that she was guilty of negligent counseling of Chris.

My guess is that this would have gotten more coverage if Chris or Sheri had made tehmselves into some sort of instagram phenom. Instead, they sound a bit isolated, although they did complain about each other to the intimates they had. He was the seemeingly goody two shoes type who fell for a more worldly woman (short-shorts! tats!). and got her pregnant. Once he brought her into the religion, he must have lost interest, esp. goven that she liked to spend money and be part of the missions in exotic locations. Tara turns out to beher best friend and sounds like the tart that Sheri used to be (He obviously hasa type---"a temptress", no doubt). He brought her into his religion and it sounds like they were on their way to having kids-----I'll bet he'd have lost interest in her once she became pregnant. Sheri sounds somewhat isolated in her own family, because of her parents ugly split. His family sounds awful---they can't accept that their boy became a monster. Chris sounds sensible enough to realize that he's working for a scammer (whos been subject to many investigations) but doesn't see what grifters his parents are. This looks like a well planned crime, rather than a "crime of passion".

Sheri sounds sympathetic but but a big spender. The person among the living who struck me as the most tragic was the 9 year old friend of the boys---imagine your best friends being murdered shortly after a happy occasion. That rarely happenes to anyone in chidlhood. He was old enough to understand the brutality and finality. In teh absence of social media self-promotion and a mother with a silly first name, it's harder to dramatize what was going on here. They were =, in someways, a typicallly unhappy couple---moeny problems, spark gone out of teh bedroom, etc. that came to a trafic end.

Here's a good article on the family and the case. Coleman's parents sound delusional. I'm sure it would break them if they actually accepted reality. Their chrch is still in business.

Because it's obvious Coleman did the deed when we all know Chris Watts was framed.

Maybe if her name had been She'Rie.

Joyce Meyer's facelift is enough to make anyone contemplate murder.
