R13 yes he says he’s 17 in the video, and is encouraging people to watch Horrible Histories when in comes out next summer. So this was filmed in the spring of 2019.

R13 his jawline grew in basically overnight after he turned 18. The difference from 18 to S1 of HS was huge but almost all in his jaw. Casting got lucky with Joe and Kit; while they’ve both grown up a bit and Joe especially has had a glow up they can overall pass as being just after S1 ended; if they’d cast 18 year old Bash it would be a noticeable difference

Jesus, I know we’ve said and I’ve generally agreed that this girl is harmless, just autistic with a fixation on Bash she’ll grow out of - this is really really weird. I’m on the spectrum - admittedly fairly mildly - and I get hyper fixations from time to time, and yet I’d never do this. Getting a tattoo of something teenage crush related is always a bad idea, and on the hand is 10x worse. It’s as weird as the person who got a K for Kit on their ring finger.

For what it’s worth Bash’s sister normally posts their family hangouts, vacations, and dinners unless Joe is there. The timing is too weird for Connor, Nell, Florrie, other childhood friends, and the entire cast to not be there; especially given the timing of Connor's visit and that Tobie and Kit were both in London, where Tobie doesn't live full time I believe, tonight. R79 Joe hasn’t been spotted but I do think the simplest answer is still he was in LA and is back now. Not being spotted at the party doesn’t mean much; Kit, Tobie, Cori, Bash’s mother and siblings weren’t spotted and we can guess pretty accurately that they were there too. If the LA weeks were mostly admin and maybe a few readings, possibly Joe didn’t meet much of the cast. Kathryn doesn’t have an IG and he already follows Aubrey so they’re both covered anyway.

Yaz seems decently fond of the cast and vice versa but it does seem like she considers them work friends more than real friends with the exception of Joe. His was the only birthday she celebrated and the only casting news she shared. While bash is very sweet we can kind of tell from context clues that he doesn’t like Bradley very much, so he clearly has no beef with Yaz given how much he hypes her. They were playing around in their Halloween IG pic so I think she likes bash, just was at home with her new dog.

Yaz did like the Netflix IG post about Bash's birthday. So he's obviously not Joe level, but she does seem to like him well enough. I got no issue with her just viewing most of them as work friends who she hangs out when they are all together, but she's not going to go out of her way in her personal time to spend time with them. Seems pretty normal to me.

R115 Agreed, i also get the sense that as a fairly outgoing but slightly quieter person Joe really likes big personalities. He’s gotten loads closer to Will and Kit but during S1 seemed to gravitate towards Yaz, Bash, and Tobie who seem to have the biggest personalities on set. Even in the vlogs he was laughing and engaging with them but was definitely not as out there as they were. Two very high energy high octane people like Yaz and Bash can definitely get along well but aren’t likely to be quite as close as they are to someone s little more chill.

In the video, Kit and Joe were pretty far in the back so I didn't expect much. They also might have gone to another room to chill. Not seeing any of them much makes me think they mostly hung about in a separate section, with other younger friends. The picture of Nell looked like it was in a side room so if there were breakaway rooms, prettt likely the “main one” was the older adults and then the “kids” separate for much of the night. Think it’s likely his mates obviously know he’s with Joe but also know he wants to be more low key about it and were good about not featuring him; family friends likely didn’t have the same realization re their privacy

Plenty of people posted with Bash, my impression is Joe just really wants to keep his personal life locked down these days. He hasn’t posted any non-work photos to his grid since the show was released (unless you count Disney, which was sponsored), and I don’t feel Bash, Kit, or any of their castmates have been posting him much either. Even Kit’s Brazil post had casual pics of him and Bash, none of Joe. Could be a coincidence, but all of this, plus Joe unfollowing basically every non-work person he knows on Insta, etc., he seems to be big on strictly compartmentalizing right now. Which is totally fair, and probably quite healthy, and good if others are respecting that.

R175 Yeah, the cast have all understandably pulled back on social media since the show blew up (especially Joe, Bash, and Kit, for obvious reasons), but Joe seems to have drawn the hardest line for himself to me. Which is probably a good move for him, especially with how he’s said social media has impacted him negatively in the past, and how protective he is of his privacy.

R176 I suppose also his going into the largest franchise and a brand new massive fanbase, wanting to be relatively quiet and professional and keeping his personal life personal. Obviously the HS fanbase is VERY online and more invested than the average marvel fan but if he gets a few million more followers off the back of Agatha, might want to be even more private.

I think also it’s easier to set really strict boundaries for yourself and ease them if/when you feel more comfortable down the line. Much harder to be super open and reveal a lot and then try to claw your privacy back later, as I think the Heartstopper cast have now experienced firsthand. And yeah, Marvel will be a new level of scrutiny.

I go back and forth constantly on how open Bash and Joe intend on being in the future. Obviously they seem very happy and committed so I don’t think their current privacy has any negative impact on them, but they’ll go from being radio silent about one another to things like Bash flying to Brazil London and LA within a few days to be a plus one for Joe twice publicly. Either way they clearly seem very happy and stable for a xouple their age so good for them

In general as costars they do got a lot of plausible deniability for almost everything. Though hard to explain why Bash is only one one who has gone to IOM often, but don't think many pay attention to that. Even if Bash goes to visit him in the states, it's not that big of a deal. I guess something like another Emmy awards that's not HS related is more questionable, but otherwise they can just not answer anything forever.

I know some people said he went to Brazil to support Kit and Joe and nothing really came from Bash going to LA since everyone was too distracted by Kit not going. Though I'd guess Marvel fans won't be as willfully ignorant about their relationship.
