Realistically, the only one that was explicitly invited by Elton was Kit Connor, since he's the only one of the Heartstopper lot that knows Elton and David. He played Young Elton in Rocketman. Imagine being stupid enough to think that a man came out as bisexual at the beginning of his career as a strategic decision. You’d have to be absolutely clueless about Hollywood, the world in general, etc.

If Kit had been facing a lot of backlash from the media or general public re his sexuality I would be more sympathetic to the suspicion he lied. However he was winning and getting nominated for queer awards without coming out, and the media (including gay publication) and the vast majority of fans were on his side when he initially said he just didn’t feel he should have to discuss his sexuality. For him to get so upset about a relatively tiny portion of people calling him a liar and queerbaiter shows it actually got to him which makes sense if he is in fact queer (bi) and felt personally invested and affected

I think anyone that was following him knew he wasn't straight from pretty early on. He was identifying as a member of the community in interviews from the very beginning. I sincerely doubt his queer cast mates would have rallied around him the way they did if they hadn't seen how it was affecting him and if they thought he was lying. Also, this is being argued under a picture of one of the gayest dinner parties I've ever seen.
