I cannot believe what this woman has gone through. Every single powerful woman leader in the US is fucking savaged. I would kill to know how Nancy really feels right now. Was it worth it? Does she have any regrets? Does she feel like she accomplished the mission? Does she feel that she was able to leave our country and party better off than before she served? What does she see as our most immediate challenge? Will she do any advocacy on specific issues in her retirement? Is there any bitterness or pain from all of it?

We will never see anyone like her again because she fit a particular point in time. I am excited that she chose Hakeem, I think he is tough as fuck and might be able to fight in ways that she could not because she’s a woman.

I'm glad to see Nancy getting to take her victory lap before she retires. I'll admit, there are many times I thought she should step aside and let someone younger take over, but there is no doubt that her steady, clear headed leadership got this country through some dark times.
