Please. I've been on these interminable rightwing propaganda anti-trans threads for years now, and you guys pitch enormous fits every time I link to actual documented history. I remember linking to that cop Fred Sargent's own words about how he wasn't actually at Stonewall but just observed it from a distance and you guys flipped out en masse. I think it was last summer when I pointed out that there were protests and marches in the days after the Stonewall riot and posted photos of some of the trans people participating, and you people got so upset that one person (with two accounts, if I recall) threatened to kill me.

It was probably Matt A., slurs and threats are his go-to when he loses his grip on his various disorders, but no one said he'd gone too far. In fact, when I mentioned it, several of you said he hadn't said it, even though it was right there, undeleted, easily readable.

You guys were so upset about actual documented history that you wanted me forcibly shut up when I linked to it.

So don't you fucking DARE act like you're upset when some kid who got their history from a single tweet gets Stonewall wrong. You get it wrong, too.

I make fun of individuals who say silly things, that's all. I've made this point over and over again whenever I've posted here.

I am not one of these "you guys" that you are talking about.

I never saw whatever posts you are talking about R3. But I am always interested in cold hard facts. The problem is there is no longer any concrete, undeniable proof about what happened because it was poorly documented at the time and no-one seemed to pay enough attention to its historical significance and then it was twisted around to suit various agendas until it has become "legendary fact" - and now most who could fix this have died.

So now it will always be "he said, she said, they said etc." because nobody knows what to believe anymore.

Stonewall has become forever tarnished and divisive because we have lost the facts.

I'll add here that I don't think it's controversial to say that the statement that the T founded the community is flat out wrong. We do know enough to know that the G and the L had a very big hand in founding their own organisations.

Stonewall is not the issue here. Keep your focus on the new truth: trans animals!
