I'm always seeing this Lipstick Alley referenced here. No idea what it is and don't care. I was once accused of being an "LSA troll" which is pretty funny.

A lot of people here are fixated on their own obsessions so who even knows what's behind the hysteria and paranoia. I'm more concerned with the constant influx of homophobic and transphobic conservatives stirring up shit here.

There are a lot of people on DL who like to stir up drama, and for some of them that means they complain incessantly about "black women from LSA invading DL." Sometimes racists will say LSA is "invading" if they get called out for being racist. Then there's that one troll, I think it's the Ancient White Fags troll but I'm not sure, who pretends to be from LSA just to cause a stir. It's all very stupid and juvenile.

If only OP could ignore all the threads he doesn't like.

It's mainly homophobic Meghan Markle fancunts coming over from LSA. FF them and put them on ignore instantly. And if they come up with homophobic slurs, write to the site's management.

They're not. Datalounge, LipstickAlley and LChat all just share the same users. You'll see Dataloungers posting on LSA all the time. Most people on all of these sites are trolls LARPing as minorities and trying to chase infighting.

Lipstick Alley is a huge board with multiple interesting threads. It seems the posters are pretty diverse, although appear to be mostly female. The number of users is enormous. If anything, users here go there sometimes for more variety. I doubt if any come here, although I’m sure a few do, but not in numbers the OP thinks. Why eat chicken where there’s steak readily available? I don’t mean that as disparaging to DL—it’s just that frankly, Lipstick Alley has way more threads and activity. DL is great for the type of board it is, it’s narrowly focused but very easy to use, and many of us feel comfortable with others that are likeminded.

Final thought. The fraus here on DL are WAY more active re the BRF and Sussexes. LSA will have one post once in a while when something bit happens, but it’s not overrun like we are. And yes, if the fucking block post worked, it wouldn’t matter.

LSA can be annoying but it's really the only Black forum of it's size and it's diverse as you see Europeans, Caribbeans, Asians, Indians and Africans on there. Most of the internet is very much white especially Reddit. So LSA has a niche that kept it popular.

LSA is much bigger and has more variety, but it's kind of boring in the same way Reddit is, in that more people equals more whining, drama, stupid questions, etc. It's just what happens when a forum gets big.

There are a lot more people here who comes from Reddit or Websleuths than come from LSA.

You could say the same thing about Reddit, which is obviously way bigger than LSA. A lot of us post on Reddit as well and yes, there used to be posters here who would write "go back to Reddit, bitch" as an insult.

I like the extra anonymity of this place and that I can freely say I would eat a certain actor's ass without getting a tonne of replies how I'm being inappropriate, "problematic", a typical white gay guy... all of that crap that you get from the fraus and the straight guys alike on Reddit. I enjoy a bit of locker room talk now and then, especially because I was excluded from it growing up.

Most of the internet has gotten boring and repetitive honestly. The Facebook mainstreaming effect I guess. Twitter and TikTok also bore me. The internet was awesome pre-2008 though. The only social media I couldn't live without is YouTube because of the diversity of content.
