Oh wait, they did nominate Jennifer Coolidge but in the Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category. Wtf.

by Anonymousreply 3December 6, 2022 7:05 PM

Yay for Brandon Scott Jones!

by Anonymousreply 4December 6, 2022 7:07 PM

Any nomination for Girls5Eva is ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 5December 6, 2022 7:08 PM

Gee. Thanks for the information about something no sane person gives a shit about. It's not like it's a real anything.

by Anonymousreply 6December 6, 2022 7:09 PM

So happy to see Reservation Dogs getting recognition!!

by Anonymousreply 7December 6, 2022 7:30 PM

Zendaya better win.

by Anonymousreply 8December 6, 2022 7:31 PM

OMG! Did Keisha Knight Pulliam get a nomination?!

by Anonymousreply 9December 6, 2022 7:49 PM

Janelle James plays a more iconic character, and she does it with a far greater reach. Sheryl Lee Ralph is a trained and experienced actor of stage and screen. Janelle is a stand-up comic, and this is just about her first major role.

It was nice to see Sheryl win last go-round as a celebration of her career, but Janelle James is worthy of awards in her own right.

by Anonymousreply 10December 6, 2022 8:29 PM

R10 that’s obvious. She wouldn’t be nominated if that were not the case…

by Anonymousreply 11December 6, 2022 8:37 PM

Which one is the one who sang her acceptance speech as though winning an Emmy was some thunderous moment in history?

by Anonymousreply 12December 6, 2022 9:22 PM

Are they crazy?! How did they not nominate Sydney?!

by Anonymousreply 13December 7, 2022 12:35 AM

What is the point if you have 500 slots to a category???

by Anonymousreply 14December 7, 2022 12:37 AM

Haha, shutout for Dahmer, except for Niecy Nash.

by Anonymousreply 15December 7, 2022 2:58 AM

Michelle Pfeiffer was nominated for First Ladies. Viola was shut out.

Also good to see Matthew Goode nominated for The Offer.

by Anonymousreply 16December 7, 2022 3:17 AM

[quote]Haha, shutout for Dahmer, except for Niecy Nash.

Which proves why no one knows who the hell they are.

by Anonymousreply 17December 7, 2022 3:21 AM

Good for Rez Dogs getting some nods, especially in the acting. It’s the best damn thing on TV.

by Anonymousreply 18December 7, 2022 4:57 AM

Jean Smart, Annie Potts and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Designing Women reunion!

Michelle nominated but not Viola! Someone is snot crying herself to sleep tonight.

by Anonymousreply 19December 7, 2022 5:02 AM

Woot! Loved Bad Sisters! They missed on nominating "The Prick" though for best supporting actor.

by Anonymousreply 20December 7, 2022 5:05 AM

Claes Bang was phenomenal on that show.

by Anonymousreply 21December 7, 2022 5:08 AM

I am enjoying Abbott got to say. I'm slightly surprised it's got so many noms but the competition for the categories doesn't look particularly stiff.

Leslie is surely going to win posthumously though, right? No way he doesn't.

I'm definitely rooting for Whishaw. He's pretty good in most things and the only (openly) gay actor in his category. Hope he snags it.

by Anonymousreply 22December 7, 2022 8:15 AM

The Critics always nominate differently than say the Emmys or Globes. They all share some of the same but the Critics always nominate things the other two hardly ever acknowledge

by Anonymousreply 23December 7, 2022 3:17 PM

Bad Sisters was one of the best series I've watched in a long while. Sarah Greene (Bibi) is always a pleasure to see in anything.

I agree that Claes Bang should get an Emmy.

by Anonymousreply 24December 7, 2022 5:03 PM

My god, how do people have time to watch these shows? Do they have maids? Live in their mom's basement and part of The Great Resignation?
