What is the best Donna Summer album of the 1970s?

Also what was her best album cover.

And what was her worst album?

We had the On the Radio double Lp & would listen to it nonstop as kids, though we couldn’t listen to Love to Love You, Baby when Dad was around. I picked it because it has most of her big hits.

What’s interesting to me is how artists used to release 2 albums a year.

It’s strange it hasn’t gone back to that because albums today only sell in their first few weeks before they fade away.

The other thing I had learned about “I Feel Love” that it was such a fresh sound no one knew who it was for or how to dance to it.

I have been hoping and praying that her estate will someday release the original “Live and More” concert footage on dvd. When she died CNN ran a ton of footage from that LA concert - I knew someone who attended and she sang my favorite song “Happily Ever After”.

Once Upon A Time and Bad Girls are her most ambitious albums. Hard to decide between the two.

Bad Girls is her best album, but I could listen to side 1 of Once Upon A Time forever. Her run of albums from 1977-1980 (yes, including The Wanderer, which I still love) is truly incredible.

I had all the double albums.

Loved Once Upon a Time - and "Queen for a Day" is probably my favorite of all of her songs.
