He did the Sonic the Hedgehog movies recently

He went completely psychotic over the years. Making crazy psychotic paintings. He was besties with Irene Cara so I think her ugliness made him nuts. Poor boy.

He's reclusive and rich. He's going the Howard Hughes route.

I'm surprised at how lame that clip on Carson is.

I couldn't make it much past when he started singing.

Painfully unfunny.

He pretty much retired from entertainment this year--he even made an announcement.

He's an interesting guy. He genuinely has acting talent, and could have made a move over into that the way Robin Williams tried to do. But I think he got tired of being zany which is what audiences wanted to see him do.

Like most comedians, he has a lot of anger and aggression behind him; but he's also got a sweetness to him I always found endearing.

He is a really good actor but a troubled soul. Has herpes

He had some gf he gave the herp to that later Kille herself. I think the family blamed him and sued IIRC.

He was absolutely brilliant in In Living Color. His early movies like Ace Ventura and the Mask were just extensions of his wacky characters.

Then he shifted over to serious roles--and I thought he was as effective as Robin Williams but Carrey didnt have the mega hits in his serious roles that Williams did.

And he did Grinch, which was a mega flop when it first appeared--it keeps showing up everything Xmas although it's still awful.

I heard he has herpes but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

His loony, crazy schtick eventually wore thin. He was pretty nutty in real life too. Does he work anymore? I haven't heard abything about him in a long, long time.

I loved Kidding. He was so good. The show was so good. I think people thought it was going to be a slapstick comedy, but it introspective and dark about depression and a nervous breakdown of a beloved children's tv host.
