The only person who has ever spoke ill of her is Kim. Sarah has been working steadily for four decades. Kim hasn't. Kristin, Cynthia and Sarah get along. The only person who doesn't is Kim. Sarah seems lovely in her interviews and talk show appearances. Kim can be smug and self-important. I don't get why Sarah is given shit, but Kim is defended. Kim complaining about the amount of nudity she had in SATC is ridiculous. She played a nympho. She was a grown woman and knew what she signed up for. She was paid well. She owes her entire relevance to that show.

She did a "Times Talk" back in 2008, she was great, but dispelled the myths that she was into shoes and clothes...then ten years later opened the shoe stores, thought it was odd. Please remember she is good friends with Andy Cohen, that never ends well or adds to your resume.

I don’t care about her but I’ve had a sweet crush on Matthew Broderick ever since War Games.

My husband did a project with her a few years ago. This is how he describes it.

She liked to have talented smart people around her to collaborate but at the end of the day it’s her decision. Her attention to detail boarders on neurosis. She difficult but not in a bitchy way. She’d push to get something done and most times she was right. The humble act in interviews is just that. She is sort of like Valerie Cherish. She always knows when the cameras on. She gives amazing cast gifts.

I've never heard anything bad about SJP except during that SATC spat with Kim Cattrall. Cattrall played her hand badly in that mess. It made her look like a bitter bitch. However, she's been working just as many years as SJP, R3 , with IMDb credits starting in 1975. SJP's first IMDb credit is 1974. Very few actors have that kind of longevity.

I've posted this before on other threads, if it sounds familiar. I worked in a department store that featured her fragrance when it came out. She made an appearance at our store to promote it. I was not present for her visit, but the one constant I heard about her was that when she was behind-stage, she was always very friendly and chatty with the retail staff, despite having her own private room. She only used it for makeup and phone calls. But otherwise she was really fun with the staff. So despite being team Kim overall, I do give props to SJP for slumming it with my retail friends in our dingy back rooms.

My father met her at the Grammy Awards when he went to have a cigarette and said she was really a nice person and they talked for a while, he also said she was better looking in real life.

I find the precious image SJP projects loathsome, but Kim Cattrall has always seemed like a stodgy, bitter cunt to me.

She seems lovely. Hugh Grant said that she's the only one of his female screen partners he didn't loathe to be around (taking a not too subtle dig at Julia Roberts, but then, more people remember Notting Hill than Did You Hear About the Morgans?).

That really is true; being "friendly" with someone like Cohen doesn't necessarily seem surprising, but actually being friends - hanging out by choice with that wonky eyed creep - that says something unfavorable about your character. Natasha Richardson, who always seemed like a goddess, was apparently friends with Cohen & her sons are still friends with (not so sure about Liam).

I’m sure neither Kim nor SJP are entirely sweetness and light. I’m not sure anyone attains their level of success without an iota of self-centredness.

SJP always comes across well to me, but she also seems incredibly driven and image-conscious. I always feel as if Kim is being more of her authentic self, and is more emotional and unguarded.

The SiTC movie drama seemed pretty unfair on Kim. She was asked to take part and declined. She was pretty consistent in declining the offer. And when she did finally explain why, all she said was that the series had just been a job to her and the other actresses were co-workers with whom she had little in common, and that she resented being portrayed as a real-life spoil-sport.

She’s also close with Jon Benjamin Hickey, another one who is full of himself.

R23 he also worked with Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore, Rachel Weisz and Meryl Streep, and he genuinely might have had the most fun with SJP, their movie was the shittiest of everything he’s ever done with any of his leading ladies.

I'm certain that if you encounter SJP in her life or work and you do as she expects, she will be very friendly with you.

The problems come when someone like Kim tells her Sorry, Not Sorry and goes against her expectations that SJP will unleash her fury

I agree. And Kim's super-soft voice in interviews sounds affected to me. I liked her in SAtC, but I don't believe her insinuations about SJP.

I think something happened on-set that really offended Kim, and she got a bug up her ass early on for SJP, and has never let it go.

If her instincts were so good, "And Just Like That" wouldn't have been so tone-deaf and otherwise awful.

I used to love when she and Amy Sedaris would talk about each other and their friendship on Letterman. It made me like both of them more. Then Andy Cohen wormed his way into their friendship, and it made me think less of them.

Some people are gifted at appearing nice to most people they encounter but singling out one or two to harrass.

I noticed during the promo for AJLT season 1 Sarah or any of the other actresses did any press with Sara Ramirez. Seems very deliberate to me.

Oh, and SJP and Amy Sedaris were in an off-Broadway show together years ago. I saw it. Really loved it, and they were both great in it.

She doesn't strike me as actually being a terror and most of this thread seems to bear that out. Not saying that within the context of the Catrall spat she couldn't have been a bitch, but I see that whole thing as two sides - they both had their bad moments and both were right about some things.
