R5, Age. Having to get her knees and hips replaced and no longer being able to do the rigorous excercises and dance moves she was accustomed to fucked with her psyche. And having the likes of Gaga and younger artists shoved down her throat, stealing her thunder, and rendering her irrelevant has further damaged her mental state.

Wow, I agree OP. That's an aspirational body and fitness level on a 50 year old, which is really something. She looks great. Makes it even sadder what's happened since then although if it's true she's physically unable to dance and keep fit anymore it gives me more understanding as to why, perhaps, she's acting out so badly now.

Madonna has gone totally off the rails, but there is a huge difference between 48 and 64 for everyone.

Even if she hadn't gone through surgery, fillers, filters,and a pill addiction, she would look very different at 64 than at 48. There's no way she would still look like she did in 2006 today.

A few months ago I watched for the first time the DVD of this tour out of curiosity. I was astonished by her fitness, the crazy dance moves she was pulling, and general endurance over the entire show. She also looked stunning, and had a great voice (although on this I’m conscious that there is a lot of technical wizardry going on when remixing the tapes before commercial release). Overall I found it a spectacular show, based on a very strong album. Unfortunately that Madonna is gone forever.

If any of you are eldergays, and can remember your grandmother, when she was 64, you may alter your opinion regarding Madonna!

I saw the CONFESSIONS tour a few times and it was her last great tour…..it had the right balance of hits and the new music was actually good…..after seeing her Thanksgiving photos, I don’t think I could see myself going to a Madonna show if she toured again..:.she has morphed into Baby Jane’s little sister…..somehow Tina, Cher, Bette, Stevie & Barbra all managed to get through their 60’s performing and not destroying their legacies….

The fake ass baffles me. She got one when they were already going out of style.

I agree Miss OP. She may be self absorbed, bitchy and cunty at times but the times I saw her on the stage, she gave it her all for the audience. Never put on a show less than 110%. I miss that energy and excitement.

Maybe we should not hold an elderly woman, a senior citizen, to the same standard, energy-wise, as a younger or even a middle-aged woman. Of course she can no longer do in her mid 60s what she used to be able to do in her 20s to 50s.

Surprised to see Madonna go off the rails as she has, but then I wouldn't have imagined the ends that Prince and George Michael came to either.
