[quote]following the deaths of Irene Cara and a few weeks ago Joyce Sims, wow just so many have left us in recent years
Which '80s ladies else have we lost in recent years besides Irene Cara and a woman whose biggest hit was #6 on the U.S. dance chart? Olivia Newton-John was famous in the 1970s, and Whitney died over a decade ago, so neither really count. Nor does Laura Branigan, who died almost twenty years ago.
It seems like we've lost a few but the majority of them are still alive and well (okay, some of them are alive and deeply unwell), which is about what you'd expect for a group of women who are mostly in their fifties and sixties.
