Adam Sandler was once Hot

But I think this type of thing makes it easier for young people today to see that they will age.

There is not as dramatic a change between how younger people look today to how they looked 20-30 years ago. I think it makes it easier for younger people today to relate to images of younger people from 20-30 years ago.

This was not the case for a young person in 1980 looking back at how someone of their age looked in 1950 or 1960.

From the 1950s/1960s to the 1980s there was a dramatic change in hairstyles, clothing, images (black and white vs. color). It was harder to relate to the aging process looking at those types of images.

There are plenty of hot older people. My gym is teeming with them

Adam is a case of letting himself go more than aging. He doesn’t seem to care about his looks.

And I like nebbishy Jewish guys with a sense of humor! But Sandler was never attractive, I mean he wasn't dreadful to look at but wasn't handsome, and his humor was always too crude to appeal to me.

He had a dopey/cute face occasionally, and for the brief window of time that he worked out, he was nebbishly attractive. But he was never striking-looking. Certainly not hot.
