We went on a Carnival Cruise around ten years ago. Because it was over Halloween, there was a large gay contingent. It was a good time and we didn't see any bad behavior. But we haven't been on a cruise since. We do plan on going on a Nile cruise next year or the year after, but that will be on a much smaller ship (<90 guests).

My mother went on her first Carnival cruise with a ladies social group. She said it was just okay. She did however say she envied the Black women for being so obese yet daring to wear skimpy clothes and thinking they looked great. She admired their self esteem.

Interestingly enough, Carnival has also recently instituted a charge for extra entrees in the main dining room. You used to be able to order as many lobster tails as you could eat.
