The show has dual purposes:

1. Make money for the Hemsworth family of strippers by selling their bodies to a public that is willing to pay to see them shirtless.

2. Make money for Disney by featuring a family of male strippers and attract more and older subscribers to their streaming service that in great part appeals to children.

It's pretty damned simple.

I don't understand how it attracts people, though. If you want to see the Hemsworth dudes shirtless, Google them. If you want to see shirtless or fully naked male bodies, look at any social media platform or Google photos and videos. They're abundant, and there are plenty of similar-looking steroidal white guys out there. But a lot of people evidently are willing to pay to look at these brothers sit around in a hot tub and blabber away while surrounded by a camera, lighting and mic crews and a director and loads of assistant producers off camera. So erotic.

I will add that despite their outrageous success, all the Hemsworth are basically plateuing careerwise - Chris's Thor franchise is nearing its end and he has those Netflix extraction movies which nobody watches, Liam is getting Henry Cavill's sloppy seconds and Luke's show just got canceled. Thus you have all three of them sitting in a hot tub with erect nipples. The purpose of this show is just to keep you looking at them.

Speaking of strippers, Chris Hemsworth did actually have a film in the works where he was going to play a police officer who has to go undercover as an male stripper to bust the Thunder from Down Under who have been committing casino heists in Las Vegas. It was actually a very funny scenario and had a theatrical commitment from Paramount but it never went anywhere. Instead he made another Extraction movie for Netflix which will be quickly forgotten.

I will add that the new direct to streaming ecosystem has made actors in his peer group very insecure; that's why you have very shy Chris Evans agreeing to do Sexiest Man Alive and a PR showmance. All of Evans's films (I think he just shot three) are going straight to streaming.
