There's only two people who are going to be running for president in 2024 if Biden doesn't run. Kamala Harris will consolidate the support of the establishment behind her, but she will absolutely be challenged by someone to her left. Bernie is too old and AOC is too polarizing. Bernie's surrogate Nina Turner will likely announce a run. She has nothing to lose and would use it to give herself an even bigger megaphone than her appearances on CNN. Plus the media would cover her campaign like Trump's....non stop coverage.

I want to vote for Joe. I’m not ready to consider other possibilities. Just, please, for God’s sake, let it be somebody who is electable. There is no electable woman. There is no electable progressive. Beto looks the part and he’s a proven loser.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 16, 2022 10:12 PM |
Joe is fine. He's done an outstanding job thus far and I'm happy for him to continue for the next two years of his first term and on to another term if he wants one.
If he doesn't want one... meh. I'm sure that any reasonable Democratic candidate will be preferable to Benedict Donald and Rhonda Santis.
The best Republican available was Ben Sasse and that bitch bailed on them. (Can't say that I blame him)

Biden can’t run from the old age home he so desperately needs to be in and Kamala is like AWOL so she’s not even considered. Pete would be amazing, ticks off all the boxes and would seem to work well with the opposing sides. Same as Hilary -THE RIGHTFUL 2016 PRESIDENT- but she’s a bit older this time so it could be harder for her. Liz Cheney might be better because she’s willing to stand up for what’s right . Not caring w which party she’s going after

Mitt Romney. Another Neo-Con warmonger like George W Bush.
Romney supported gay marriage when he was governor of Massachusetts. Then he opposed gay marriage when he ran for President in 2012.
He's a hypocrite whose Mormon Church sponsors "conversion therapy" for gay Mormon boys.

I love Al Franken, and I used to think this as well, but I saw him recently in the audience of The Bedwetter, that awful Sarah Silverman musical, and he really didn't look good. He's gained a lot of weight, and he walks with difficulty. He's in no shape to run for president.

Pete! Besides the fact that Pete deserves to be President, it would be a great debate! Trump would not be able to contain himself from exposing his true feelings about 'the homo.'

[quote] Along with Greene, the conspiratorial pro-Trump Republican from Georgia who took office earlier this year, the pair both say the members who participated in these conversations or had top staffers join in included Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

Maybe we should put the Constitution aside, support world trade, and import someone. No, she's not perfect but Mrs. Merkel's got a sensible enough head on her shoulders.
Best of all, we'll get to export one of ours in return.

Someone upthread mentioned Ruben Gallego being hot. If you look pics of Ruben when he was younger and in the Marines, he was quite handsome. But, he got fat and grew a beard and ended up looking an overweight high school football coach.

by Anonymous | reply 249 | March 9, 2023 7:46 PM |
Me.
I’ll introduce sweeping reforms, starting with abandoning your North-Korean two-party system.
Departments will be renamed Ministries, Congress -> Parliament, and so on.
I will also forbid Senators (we’ll keep that title) and Congresspeople (needs a new name) to trade stocks, crypto, ETFs, etc.
Also, term limits and a maximum age of, say, 65, so that no one can rule beyond the grave by implementing policies that won’t affect them. You will live to witness the impact of your governing.
Furthermore: healthcare, electricity, water, waste disposal and infrastructure will be state-owned and operated.
And that’s just my first year, bitches!!
