I hope that revive the Voting Rights Act.

I've heard Gaetz and Greene are feuding over Greene's endorsement of McCarthy for Speaker.
I hope they end up in a steel cage, battle to the finish, two go in but only one comes out, death match on pay per view. Two worthless pieces of Trump manufactured shit killing each other. What could be more fun to watch?

It's going to be divided government, a Republican House and Dem Senate. That means no consequential legislation is happening guys.
However we can keep getting Biden judges passed through and we all know how important judges are.

If the GOP’s majority is 3 seats or less they may not have it for the full two years. Congresspersons quit/die/get indicted/get recalled/switch parties in the middle of sessions all the time.

Biden should target moderate Republican representatives in purple or bluish districts with Democratic governors, for appointments, ambassadorships, etc. Never Trumpers who want to leave partisan party politics and elections behind. Get 3-4 of them out by offering them cushy jobs and replace with Democrats appointed by Democratic governors, or elected in special elections that the DNC pours buckets of cash into. Don't stop fighting. We can still flip it. 3 seats is nothing.

Great idea, R6!
Most GOP are just in it for the grift anyway so make three of them ambassadors to Geewizville, Laddee-Daddiestan, and Bumfucktoria.

There are no gubernatorial appointments in the House. Vacancies require a special election.

While that is true, R8, the timing can be subject to gubernatorial shenanigans such as DeSantis in May of 2021:
[quote] Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has pulled a fast one by delaying until January a special election to fill the seat of the late U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings.
[quote] By keeping the seat empty for so long, DeSantis has given Republicans a sly boost in national politics. For nine months, Democrats will be deprived of one less vote in the U.S. House...
[quote] And for all those nine months, the 800,000 constituents of District 20, a jigsaw puzzle piece of Black-majority precincts, will have no vote in the House.

Will be the best Congress!

I've heard a few people I know repeat this garbage. Like MAGA and "let's go, Brandon", they use it as a rally cry and mantra of solidarity.
People I once knew to be practical and intelligent now throw out this esoteric clap-trap like a badge of honor.

No one cares to mention how ill-fitting the suit is? He is dressed like the loser character in any film. He would do himself a huge favor by just getting a suit that fits. They do have them at Men's Warehouse. It doesn't have to be Brunello Cucinelli. Anyone remember the Gary Walsh character from VEEP, Selena's assistant? They always gave him similar suits with with his shoulder bag always pulling his jacket off. This was intentional to make him look like a loser.

Democrats should begin neutralizing this now. When asked about the threat of Republican investigation Democrats should just smile and say that they enthusiastically welcome such investigation because when nothing has been done wrong, there has been nothing done wrong. They should even get Hunter Biden before the cameras welcoming such investigations.
But then Democrats should ask what will the Republicans do for the American citizen besides investigating?

Nancy and Chuck need to raise the debt limit now in the lame duck congress. Head off this issue at the pass so that the GQP can't use it as a way to gut Social Security and Medicare/Medicate, cut off funding to Ukraine, and shut down the government. Just raise the limit to a zillion dollars so they can't use this as a bargaining chip.
