LA Voters

Which races are you nervous about? Will Karen Bass or Caruso win? Will Lindsay Horvath win? Do you want her to? Is Traci Park a good thing? Will Mejia grind your gears?

by Anonymousreply 14November 17, 2022 5:58 PM

Bass is fine. Caruso would have been interesting. Horvath is a fucking idiot zillenial who wants to eliminate police. I hope she gets mugged and stabbed and no one comes to help her. Oh and she used to be a raging young Republican college. She is a nightmare all around.

OP, are you in Traci Park's disctict too? Suprised to see her mentioned here.

by Anonymousreply 2November 13, 2022 3:18 PM

I’m near her district, but followed the twitter nonsense. Not sure why she’s supposed to be a racist. Maybe she can help clean things up.

I'm sick of the homeless problem and would rather Caruso handle it.

by Anonymousreply 4November 14, 2022 4:52 AM

Please, bitch @R4. You don't even live in LA.

by Anonymousreply 5November 14, 2022 4:54 AM

R5 Tell yourself what you need to.

by Anonymousreply 6November 14, 2022 11:40 AM

Karen Bass is expanding her lead, which means we can look forward to four more years of our streets looking like third-world shanty towns.

by Anonymousreply 7November 15, 2022 11:58 PM

R7 cry me a river. Unless you live in Brentwood, Caruso wasn't doing shit for you.

by Anonymousreply 8November 16, 2022 12:00 AM

R8 He's still right about Bass.

“The people of Los Angeles have sent a clear message,” Ms. Bass said in a statement on Wednesday. “It is time for change and it is time for urgency.”

"Ms. Bass has said that as mayor she will declare a state of emergency on homelessness and find housing for 17,000 homeless people in her first year. She also has promised to put more police officers on the street, in part by freeing up sworn members to patrol the city rather than handle administrative tasks."

I believe her.

Bass won.

Everyone is frustrated by the homeless problem. If there were an easy fix, anyone could just snap fingers and fix it.

It's a problem that is the intersection of housing, drug abuse, family planning, mental health, You have to work on ALL of those to handle the homeless problem.

The Republican would just ship them to Nevada,...and they would come right back

by Anonymousreply 11November 17, 2022 3:32 PM

Republicans CAUSE the homeless problem by slashing taxes on the rich and criminalizing drugs

by Anonymousreply 12November 17, 2022 3:33 PM

Amazing Caruso didn't win. Apparently money can't buy everything. He spent $100 million of his own money to run for mayor, supposedly because he cares about homelessness. Wonder how much he's actually spent to help homeless people.

by Anonymousreply 13November 17, 2022 3:51 PM

He couldnt even win his own mall
