Do you live alone or with others?
What’s your housing situation?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 16, 2022 3:56 AM |
I have a roommate. It's impossible, really, to rent an apartment without a roommate in my corner of Massachusetts on my salary (I am a university lecturer). And rents keep going up, up, up.

My situation wasn't listed: I live with a partner and two kids and a dog.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 12, 2022 4:21 PM |
R2, that would be under the “I’m a whore” category because you’re cheating on your partner
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 12, 2022 4:31 PM |
same, I have kids (and I'm a whore)
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 12, 2022 4:34 PM |
OP, you forgot "I'm a basement-dweller and a loser"
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 12, 2022 4:37 PM |
No way, as an adult, would I live with a roommate
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 12, 2022 4:49 PM |
Be grateful you have that privilege r6
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 12, 2022 4:50 PM |
same as R6. I'm aware that I'm lucky, but it's not a good makeup to have roomates past your late 20s. I made choices. Live in a small town and not in the center, had to find other, less lucrative or glamorous jobs, but at least I'm independant and have a two bedrooms, two living rooms apt

"OP, you forgot "I'm a basement-dweller and a loser"
That is where are numerous gay incels/anti-trans lunatics reside, i.e. DeFucktardo.
They gotta have somebody to blame/scapegoat for their perpetual misery. Might as well be dear old mom and dad. Then, blame all the trannies running around in women's locker roams flashing their enormous 10 inch cocks to poor unsuspecting women and girls.

R9 is obsessed by "de facto" and is probably dutch...very thin sense of humor

No zoo or Vivian Vance's house?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 12, 2022 5:12 PM |
R10 is DeFuctardo. Clinically insane and proud of it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 12, 2022 5:15 PM |
Living alone and loving it. I visit the fuck buddy, or he visits me.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 12, 2022 5:15 PM |
I live with my partner. We used to have kids but they grew up and moved away. It's peaceful
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 12, 2022 5:15 PM |

Happily live alone. I am the best version of me when I live alone.
Why can't I "click to vote"?? I can "show results" but I can't vote. What kind of mickey mouse operation is Muriel running here?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 12, 2022 5:18 PM |
I think Muriel is having a nervous breakdown, the most innocuous threads are deleted, poor thing is tired and overworked
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 12, 2022 5:20 PM |
I live with my rescue cat.

Live with my grandmother (in her house, as a part-time carer) and father, on my Uncle's dime (he live abroad), and while it was a useful lifeline and temporary save due to my relative poverty and illness, it's starting to drive me slowly and perniciously insane.
Atm can't make enough to move away, as my past history of avoidant reclusive depression, physical illness (neuropathy that got very serioius at one point), and low-income work since school makes me an unattractive hire. Also it turns out a BA in Theatre studies isn't a great degree to have. The saddest part is I'm actually quite literate, and was a high-achieving student before University.
Where I live is rural and there's little to do in terms of networking or connecting with people, though I try to volunteer (conservation groups) and do exercise and get out for coffee as much as time and scant money allows. Everyone around is older and wealthier, though, so they can't really relate to my situation or treat me like an equal friend. There's a feeling of being an alien in the community.
I really can't see my way out of here, without doing something that sits really poorly with me like marrying for money or turning to OF, or otherwise moving to the big bad City by myself which is a very bad idea (tried it once before, for a year, and it almost killed me--I am not streetwise). That scares me some days. My little dog is my best friend and the highlight of my life, honestly, which I suppose I'm lucky for. Bit sad at age 30, though.

I have a roommate and it's the best situation I've ever had (after living alone in college and waiting ass up for cock).
We're friends but not best friends, we have a lot of space (there are days we dont even see each other), we respect each other and we both have good jobs.
I could live alone, but to have a decent place in LA by myself would cut more into my fun budget.

Where's the option for "with a cat"??
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 16, 2022 12:12 AM |
I dance around in my apartment because I live alone!!!

I’ve been with my boyfriend for over 20 years. We lived together for a few years in a small NYC apartment and I felt like I was suffocating. I moved out and we broke up for a while but realized the living situation was the problem. I ended up moving to the suburbs and he stays with me most weekends. Occasionally I will spend a weekend in the city with him but it’s harder since I now have a dog and a cat. We will probably end up retiring together someplace but I am not sure where. I know it has to be a very spacious place with plenty of privacy and outdoor space.

We're living in a cock roach and bed bug infested apartment. Our house and car were destroyed in a mountain landslide, this past August. My Husband and me and our 3 Grandbabies were trapped but, thankfully got out without getting hurt too badly. Its been horrible and we are struggling in every way.

I rent a room, 5 of us total in the house, plus 3 dogs, 3 cats and a koi pond with 10 fish. I love it, I didn't like living alone. Having people around is best for my mental health. And we all get along which is a plus.

R20 you should work online. You have a Bachelor's degree, which means you can get work as a test scorer. The season gears up as early as February, and definitely they start hiring then. There are several companies out there, and many only ask for a bachelor's in anything, only some want teaching experience. Most do not. It's $18 an hour at DRC plus significant overtime and bonus in the height of the season. Core hours are 35 a week if that's all you can manage. I love it. Just discovered this last year. I worked three different projects this year, over several months.

Also, this is a great website for work from home jobs. All vetted and legitimate. There's so much out there.

R28 what kind of computer set up do you need to have? Do you need to have a desk at home? Can you do that kind of work using an iPad?
