Apart from Ali's failed attempt at acting, modeling and singing. Her other younger brother Cody tried modeling too but had no luck. I don't know what the other one, Michael Jr. does. He seemed to stay out of the spotlight. I really was shocked Ali didn't get a Zoey 101 type show to ride off her sister's success just like no-talent Jamie Lynn Spears was able to do. When she was young I never saw a pretty redhead ever before her. That period between 2003 to 2005, she was stunning. By 2006 though, the drugs, partying and stress got to her looks so early and by 2007 when she got rail-thin and blonde, it was over.

The black hair period wasn't bad. It suited her. The icy blonde hair always looked awful and she stuck with it for a decade.

You would be surprised at how many young people that are athletes and actors and musicians who have been pushed by their parents to an extremely pathological level. I did not realize how prevalent this problem was until I started working in the job I’m in now. People that work in ancillary positions to assist people that have high visibility jobs are constantly suffering due to the parents of the talent . I found out about this phenomenon from both personal experiences and speaking to others working in the team.

I've told this story before on DL. I used to work at a high-end hotel, in the bar. RDJ came in with an all-male entourage. RDJ was loud, drunk (I assume), and obnoxious. Barking out orders before he even sat down. His entourage looked personal, not professional. One of the twinks from the entourage broke off and chatted up my coworker, the bartender.

I've read that story, R76, and don't doubt there are others. But the general take on people who knew RDJ when he was using was that he was generally mild-mannered and frisky rather than belligerent. Bret Easton Ellis (no stranger to abrasive behavior) said that people overlooked RDJ's habit because they found him sweet-natured and charming even when he was stoned.

I probably told this story on DL before. My friend's father was a director on a movie RDJ was in. His mother and father had the main cast over for dinner one evening when they weren't shooting. My friend was too young to be in the mix of this sort of crowd, so his parents sent him up to his room early. He sporadically snooped-in on the festivities because it was rather loud and he was interested in everyone there. He said he heard RDJ emphatically praising his mother's soup, and within a couple of minutes, face-planted directly into the soup and was out cold. I think he got sick afterwards, and was a bit of a cunt when he came to. This would have been mid-90's in the UK. Overall, he still had nice recollections of interacting with him when he visited the set. I think his father was happy with his work behavior as well, but didn't extend another dinner invite.

Anyway, RDJ and Lilo were both troubled souls due to their early fame and addiction. I'm happy he's on top now, and I hope she comes out OK too. She looks better than she has in years.
