Seriously!
And on a Seriously! note, I cried for 2 weeks after seeing The Hours because of her performance. It is a master class.
I know, MARY!

Underrated? I think not. She's easily one of the most respected (and successful) actresses of her generation. Perhaps she's been underserved by some low profile TV and film projects from the last year and a lot of so-so writing.

I saw her in Magnolia bakery not long after 9/11. She was extremely pregnant and looked like a great big muffin. Very very short. Smiley and nice, though, despite her near dwarfism.

I think she’s fine. Adequate.

What r2 said. She gets plenty of credit.

Plenty of credit, well-deserved, and of long-standing. Absolutely wonderful in Far from Heaven, Short Cuts and Boogie Nights. The range represented by just those three titles is staggering. Not to mention that she’s exquisitely beautiful. I’d call her the Barbara Stanwyck of our era.

r3, perhaps OP really did want to discuss Juliane Moore, an unknown and completely underrated actress, having been overshadowed by the much more famous Julianne Moore.

She is great on "Still Alice" on Netflix.
