The most romantic piece of music ever written?

And why is it Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2?

OP, do you mean sappy rom-com love or do you mean "a quality or feeling of mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life?"

Bolero is hot and sexy but not romantic.

Was forced to do a report on Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in 6th grade music class. Sad story. Music makes total sense, though. Parts of this piece makes tears flow freely.

R&H did some wonderfully romantic songs.

"Some Enchanted Evening", ""We Kiss in a Shadow", "I have Dreamed" etc.

There are too many magnificent romantic arias from Opera to list.

Here is Mi Chiamano Mimi (they call me Mimi) from Puccini's La Boheme performed by the great Mirella Freni at the San Francisco Opera House.

I hate lang lang and all those pianists who like to "perform" when they play...some of theses "edgy" pianists are so over the top,, so fucking ridiculous.
