I sat through that hot mess of a documentary and I don't know why. She gets to say "fuck" a lot and pretend she's an intellectual, generous philanthropist. There's really not a whole lot to her. I was mad she made that little dog of hers walk down that huge flight of stairs in her home by itself. That dog is going to have hip issues.

R19 it’s directed by Alex Keshishian (Truth or Dare) so it is shot well but is wrapped in that veneer of “public & private juxtaposition of a celebrity,” where the private side seems a little phony. There are other parallels to Truth or Dare, such as going home to Texas like Madonna went home to Michigan. But Truth or Dare had big energy.

If kidney donors have trouble with their remaining organ, they go straight to the top of the transplant list. No idea how often this happens. My friend developed a kidney infection and was hospitalized a couple of months later. She wasn't in danger, hospitalized as a precaution. I was curious how arrangements for payment of future medical care are made. Whether the donor and his/her insurer are responsible for payment. I thought it would be tacky to ask.

I watched the doc. It was good. She does say she has been really horrible to people because of her mental illness, and bipolar can cause you to be irritable and snappy and people should've turned their back on her.

The drug rumors and alcohol rumors are brought up as tabloid reports, same as the Justin break-up. I wouldn't doubt she did drugs and alcohol but I don't think it lead to the kidney failure. My guess is a septic abortion (miscarriage caused by infection/STD) that can cause renal failure and leave you infertile (her claims she can't be a mom because of lupus). I think that's why the Justin break up was so hard on her and why she's so depressed.

What is it about Disney that gets so many crazy child stars. For every Hilary, Zendaya, Christy, Raven and Bridgit who seem normal, you get a Lindsay, Bella, Demi and Selena. The guys aren't better, Shia, Joshua Bassett, Orlando Brown and if DL is to be believed, Zac Efron has a lot of demons.
