Ok, so it's a slide show you have to spend time manually operating interrupted by flashcard commercials, but it's worth it just to know these mistakes. Beginning at 50 with Streetcar. Very interesting.

When Charles Foster Kane utters his dying word Rosebud no one is in the room to have heard it. He drops the snow globe, a door opens, and the nurse walks into the room

I never understood why they somehow couldn't fix that smoke scene with the witch in Wizard of Oz. For such a perfect movie to let that go where even little kids point and laugh is absurd

Because in the previous take Margaret Hamilton’s face was baked from green makeup when the effect went wrong and she was set afire, setting the production behind and costing MGM thousands of dollars. I do think the resulting take is almost inexcusable, but you could rationalize that the Witch set the spell so that she had to step into the smoke before exiting in the fireball. In any case, it’s a boss explosion 💥

^ They could have re-shot it with a stand in or done some fancy edit work. There's just no excuse in a movie of that caliber

Wizard is only one in a pack of 49 others. Don't be confused and think there are 49 goofs in Oz

What's wrong with the smoke scene? I've watched that movie hundreds of times and I never pointed and laughed (but maybe I don't have an eye for these things).

What number is the Wizard of Oz?
This thread seems like an invitation to make people click dozens of times on an old-fashioned clickbait bullshit article. Even if OP isn't a shill, OP is a fucking dinosaur with a lot of time on his hands. Which is odd, since he probably has so little time left in this world.

#26. The Wizard of Oz (1939) - Directors: Victor Fleming, George Cukor, Mervyn LeRoy, Norman Taurog, Richard Thorpe, King Vidor - Stacker score: 94 - Metascore: 100 - IMDb user rating: 8.0 - Runtime: 102 min
When Dorothy and the Scarecrow meet the Tin Man for the first time, they apply oil to his rusty joints so that he can move. There's just one problem: tin doesn't rust. While legions of fans will argue that the Tin Man probably contained metal parts, or that "rust" is being used colloquially in this particular instance, the scene nevertheless endures as a famous flub.

@r6 Margaret Hamilton misses her mark and the smoke starts before she gets there leaving Munchkinland

In a scene in Gloria with Gena Rowlands the boom mic is visible for a moment. Such a huge and stupid mistake. Still a good film.
