I cannot believe DL doesn't have a thread about this movie. It's full of '80s soap stars (Eileen Davidson namely, playing the uber cunt you love to hate; Kate McNeil is the goody two-shoes final girl) playing sorority sisters who kill their old bitch housemother in a (rather insane) prank involving a gun, and then sink her body in a putrid swimming pool so that they can have their graduation party that night without hassle. Naturally, someone starts butchering them over the course of the evening. Despite some budgetary limitations, it's actually a pretty well-executed slasher, and more elegant than most. The characters are also well fleshed-out and quite funny. Plenty of cuntiness as well, primarily from Davidson and Harley Jane Kozak.
Not to mention it has Hunter Tylo with her original name, face and tits. She also shows off her huge bush.

So this is where Ryan Murphy stole ideas for Scream Queens from.

R1 Hunter's movie was The Initiation, shot in Texas in 1984.
Which also stars Daphne Zuniga and is almost interchangeable with HOSR.

R1 I think you are mistaking this for "The Initiation" (1984), which Hunter Tylo was in—same era, and a similar vibe. I love both these movies. Hunter has a brutal, spectacularly blood death scene in "The Initiation".

R6 I rewind that moment every time I've watched this movie. Fucking hilarious. The actress, Jodi Draigie, has always been kind of a mystery, as she never had another film credit (not surprising)—however, I just looked her up on IMDb, and it appears she (quite randomly) did an indie horror movie this year—and it's on Tubi!

Eileen really is great at playing bitchy characters. This movie makes me think of water beds 😄 Although i didn't mind the remake with Carrie Fisher either.

This film could be a lesbian holiday classic: the housemother has terminal caneface, walks with a cane, and the cane is a prominent plot point.

Horror TV movie is such an odd format.
