I was shocked a bit about his size as well. I really like his movies, so I hope he gets some help to live more healthily. Otherwise, I fear an early death.

Would be a shame to lose him early. There aren't that many directors with a distinct style anymore.

He is a man of excess. His films are visually excessive and leave nothing to the imagination. His body is the same way.

The thing that surprised me was when he married Kim Morgan, the bombshell movie blogger -- I get why they would connect, she's been writing (and writing really well, she's actually incredibly smart and talented) about movies for decades, she was one of the first film writers I followed online with her website Sunset Gun. They obviously have those passions in common. She loves old movies. But they make SUCH a mismatched physical couple.
