Tammy-Lynn Leppert- What do you think really happened to her?
Remember the young beauty Queen who just… vanished?
“After the shooting of the film Spring Break was finished, Leppert went unaccompanied to a weekend party. She came home from the party "a different person" according to her close friend Wing Flannagan's testimony. When she was playing in her next film, Scarface, she suddenly returned home after the fourth day of filming. Her mother assumed that Leppert had been afraid of being murdered by someone, and that she had become overtaken by this delusion. Her mother felt obliged to have her examined by a doctor, but after 72 hours in a medical center, Leppert was released and there seemed to be no signs of drug or alcohol use according to doctor statements.
Leppert was last seen in Cocoa Beach, Florida on July 6, 1983. She was reported to have worn a blue denim shirt decorated with flowers, along with a matching skirt, a gray purse, and sandals. Some agencies have stated that she left without shoes or money. A friend of Leppert's told authorities that he had an argument with her while driving her from her home in Rockledge, Florida, that he had later "left her [...] in a parking lot." Although he is the last person believed to have seen her, he is not considered a suspect. However, her mother has claimed that Leppert was "afraid" of him.
After Tammy Leppert's disappearance, Cocoa Beach Detective Harold Lewis received two telephone calls from a woman claiming that Leppert was still alive. In the first call, the woman said that Leppert was well and would make contact when the time was right. During the second call, she said that Leppert was doing what she always wanted: going to school to become a nurse.”
I wonder if the cops ever investigated that woman who called them. And I wonder if a proper investigation was done on the male friend she was with.

She dropped out of nursing school due to one too many sassy homosexuals in the class, heading back to her 'roommate' she made a vow to live a life completely free of men, even the gay ones. She tried to do this locally, but the lesbian groups were corrupted by the gaytriarchy and the feminist groups were full of trannies, all of them wanted to sexualize her, force to transition or become a drag king... both she and her 'roommate' would leave for Budapest to found a radical coven, free of the gay liberation perversions, the sexual corruption of feminism, and the trannies, trannies, trannies, that had infested every facet of life... they would craft traditions handed down by legacy witch Z. while shaving off the locks of their female bondage to become gender neutral, not butch, gender neutral dammit. and no, not "nonbinary" but neutral, natural, female.... the opposite of the male gaze did to her all those years ago. The only braidable hair a real feminist should have is her pits!

r4 it must be a win if you responded. The question was "What do you think really happned to her?" -- and I think she either disappeared into the ocean as either suicides or murders tend to go in FL... or disappeared as many simply have. One might even call it a trend in the 80s. As to the reasons, it could be anything... just as likely she joined a kooky religion, perhaps she became scientologist or an ultra conservative christian. It's possible she was being stalked but it's more probable her paranoia was the symptom of underlining mental health issues, we could speculate on drug use as well - even just diet pills which more dangerous varieties were still legal at the time. . . and aside from body, modeling did involve long hours... a few days with no sleep is enough to drive most people over the edge.

threw a frisbee on the beach and it got snagged by the waves, she swam out to it and dove as it started to sink, she was about the reach for it when she noticed the sticker she had put on it earlier, telling her to scratch and sniff. And you know, it really did smell like the ocean.

R5, the situation doesn't sound like a mental health crisis, so much as someone blundering across criminal activities.
Maybe she met some guy at the party who was on his way to do a hit for his Cartel or to make a snuff film, and he took her along because she was blond and pretty, and straight men never think things through when they're around pretty young blondes they want to fuck. Or maybe she unintentionally witnessed a crime or a fight or a satanic blood sacrifice, or did some damn thing that made someone think he had to get rid of her. And whoever it was, they got rid of her.

I am wondering if OP just saw this case on Unsolved Mysteries—I coincidentally was watching some episodes on the Pluto TV channel earlier and this case was featured in one.
I remember seeing the UM episode as a kid and finding the story very weird and creepy. I’m at a loss as to what happened to her. My first thought is that it was a classic case of wrong place, wrong time, and she was preyed upon by a rapist and/or serial killer. She clearly seemed to be suffering from some mental illness (possibly schizophrenia given how paranoid and erratic her behavior had been prior to her disappearance), which made her an even easier target. She had been seen wandering around in a disheveled state with no shoes on. She was very attractive, so my guess is she got picked up by some violent pervert who raped and murdered her.
If I were to guess, whoever killed her probably dumped her in a swamp given the area she vanished from, and she was probably quickly eaten by alligators. I’d be shocked if she’s ever found.

r9 I believe that any woman is completely capable of disappearing on her own without the help of a man. It's possible that she was in a dnd cult, they never expect the pretty ones, and opened a gateway to hell. may her soul be eternally damned.

At the time of her disappearance, Leppert was between 5 ft 0 in (1.52 m) and 5 ft 5 in (1.65 m) and weighed between 105 and 115 pounds (48 and 52 kg). She had curly blonde hair and hazel eyes.
It is also speculated that she may have been three months pregnant

This case is baffling, and a favorite of mine out of all the classic Unsolved Mysteries segments. Another from the same era that I find very spooky is the Cindy James case. Logically, I want to believe she had lost her mind and was staging all these stalker “attacks,” but the fact that her body was found hogtied and she was pumped full of drugs is extremely weird.

It really does sound like she got in over her head with the Florida party people, and was a witness or an unwilling participant in a crime.

Way tired 🤢of the missing (always blonde) White girl tradition. The families of other missing children and adults deserve at least the same coverage. I have stopped paying attention to the poor widdle White girl bullshit. It is more tangible evidence of our ongoing race problem in the US. We must do better.

How come we never discuss the indigenous women who go missing every year in North America?
They just disappear, and no one gives a shit. I mean literally, including law enforcement, do not give a shit.
Obviously, many of them are murdered by their partners, but plenty just disappear when off the reservation.

r30 we speak about missing indigenous women every time wants to virtue signal and don yet another ribbon. . . but it's taboo to get into the details because that cause is limited to one set narrative of a lone serial killer trucker picking up hitchhikers in the 70s and ignores the realities in the conflicts between federal and native govts.. the latter in regards to how many violent predators are released because they weren't properly arrested by the former... so, it becomes an endless cycle because it falls outside of the po' noble savage motif and new age spirit that everyone else likes to fap to. Plus like spending among fed/state/etc, the govt doesn't want to lose the p.r. while the tribes don't want to lose the grants. So, the entire concept of missing indigenous womens remains a social cause that ultimately excludes them as the real focus is on everyone else.
the same of every other community where we shift the blame and deny the problems that exist within those communities because we're forever fighting the bigots on the outside.

There was a serial killer in Florida at that time who was approaching young girls pretending to be a photographer. He would lure them to his car to see his portfolio and then threaten them with a gun and take them to a hotel repeatedly rape them and kill them. He traveled across country and had at least killed 15 young Women, that they know of. They think he killed many more. He used to be a race car driver in Florida. I believe his last name was Wilder or Wilding, he was originally from Australia and was very charming. By the time the Cops figured it all out and that he was driving one of his victims cars, he had killed a lot of girls. There's an episode about it on The Real Detectives on YouTube. Its possible that she was one of his victims, she fits the profile.
