The Swiffer Scene in “Don Jon”
Just got around to watching “Don Jon”(I know, DL, I’m almost ten years behind!) and I thought the film was excellent. Smart, funny and interesting, with the three leads doing fine work. The only thing that I didn’t care for were the shrill, sitcom-like Sunday dinner scenes with his parents.
My favorite scene in the film is this one, which begins innocuously enough, but ends with one character seeing another character’s behavior in a way that makes him re-access their relationship. It’s fresh, unique and very well-acted. Johansson in particular is terrific as she reveals how selfish and manipulative she can be.
Bravo!

Oh God this scene was infuriating. Who doesn't like a man that cleans?!
I can't believe JGL and ScarJo hooked up while filming this movie.

I thought the film made an interesting correlation that Johansson’s character was as warped by the Hollywood romcoms she loved as Gordon-Levitt was by porn.

SJ was terrible from the very beginning. The swifter scene was just the first time he noticed it. His shrieking parents were supposed to embody traditional male/female gender roles. Not to be an asshole but it sounds like you didn't get the movie.

Sorry, R7 — reassess. My error. Thanks, honestly.
And as for R6 — too late!

You’re cute af, r9.
And, r8, IIRC only shirtless.

Funny thing is, R7, when I first typed ‘reaccess’, I got the red spellcheck notification — so I added the hyphen to an already misspelled word! Yikes, I deserve a big “Oh, Dear!”, so I appreciate your being nice about it! Thanks again!
