While I think it's kind of hysterical how cunty JLC was about it -- "I have never seen those movies and I don't know who you are!" -- i also think this is a terrible look for somebody gunning for an Oscar nomination right now. She was pissy about that "TROW-MA" video in public too, which I get being pissy about it, but she's a decades-long professional and if she wants an oscar nomination she's got to be on her most smiling-est bullshitting game, glad-handing every single goddamned person she meets for the next five months.

I don't care if she was busy or tired that was a cunting thing to do. She surely knew these women were excited to meet her. It wouldn't have taken any effort at all to just smile and be gracious.

On another note, Danielle Harris looks like an entirely different person than she used to. I didn't recognize her at all.

I've never seen any of the Halloween films, so I can't get worked up about this. JLC can be moody. She attended my high school for one year as a senior. I had graduated a year or two before and never met her. She said something very snotty about the school in an interview. Years later, she apologized.

She seems to have embraced her Halloween connection, but a few decades ago she was different. In an interview, she got somewhat upset and said that when she was young there weren't that many good roles for women actors and she took the work she was offered.

JLC has nothing but the Halloween films now, so, of course she's cunty about it. . . she's trying to hold dominion over it. It's her financial lifeline. Even if one recalls virtually every film after the first, she's claimed she would never do another one because she didn't want to be typecasted.

It's just standard industry dribble. . . it's more sad that she's desperately clinging to this franchise now and her other shitty movies than the scant handful where she managed a good performance. But alas, her more celebrated films are with her most hammy performances. I blame millennials.

JLC is a notorious cunt. I have told numerous stories here of encounters with her in the 1980s and early 1990s when I worked in retail. Unless you’re a world leader or a Make a Wish kid, telling her you’re a fan is probably your first mistake. Don’t ever forget she is a Hollywood royalty. The names Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh may not mean much to people today, but along with Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and about a dozen others, they were about as big as you could get in the early 1960s. A few years later I was working at a different, bigger store and was randomly ringing up a cosmetics transaction for her and I stupidly said something like “I’ve helped you before,” (stupid because I was bringing up a bad experience), but it didn’t matter because I had barely gotten the words out when she said, sharply, “I’ve never been here before.” That was that. There was no room for clarification. “Just stop talking to me” was the vibe.

I actually started listening to Scout and Danielle's podcast after this, and I have to admit that, while I don't have strong opinions on either of them personally speaking, it is a fun podcast—their dynamic is great and the conversations they have are entertaining. Nothing too compelling, but it's an enjoyable, frivolous listening experience. I agree that Danielle admittedly still sometimes sounds like a teenager in a 45-year-old's body.

Also, I expected them to be EXTREMELY cunty in the episode about the "Halloween Ends" premiere, but they surprisingly weren't. They more were just describing how awkward/uncomfortable the entire experience was overall, from start to finish. Not a lot of bitchiness toward Jamie Lee, more just disappointment over how things went down. Scout in particular seems like a very sensitive person.

I think the story just shows that these premieres really aren't that glamorous. Jamie Lee was pretty much working since it's part of her contract to do promo. Even the way she addressed Danielle, "Jamie Lee Curtis", it's all business.

I think R105 is right in saying that Danielle and Scout have more emotional ties to the series than JLC, and I think this is probably because they were both quite young when they were in these movies. Danielle was a little girl when she shot "Halloween 4" and "Halloween 5", so making those films was no doubt a massive part of her childhood; there is probably a strong sense of nostalgia for it in her case. Scout was also pretty young when she made the Rob Zombie "Halloween"—I think maybe 16 or 17 at most. Jamie Lee was around 19 I think when she made "Halloween", so she was slightly older.

FWIW, I think she did excellent work as Molly Tilden on Roseanne and I wish they'd kept her around. I think she did fine work on The Conners a few years ago. I was listening to some past episodes of Danielle and Scout's podcast and was surprised to hear that Danielle at one time was selling hair products to make ends meet. She has worked pretty consistently for most of her life in TV/film, though she's never that "big" break. That being said, she was pretty successful for being a working child actor.

I'd venture to guess the most money she's made was from voice acting on "The Wild Thornberrys", which went on for 6+ years and included a couple of movie spinoffs—I assume that was a steady income for her. I didn't realize she was in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" as one of the Manson girls.
