Horror Shock: Bangkok's legendary Babylon sauna has closed!

Apparently it was owned by two brothers, and one of them wanted to sell as, given it was in the heart of the diplomatic district, surrounded by embassies, the land was hugely valuable. It's been sold to an apartment developer. You could see the enormous Dale Chihuly sculpture in their compound.
Definitely the greatest gay sauna in the world, with the best restaurant too. And the out-of-this-world massages! It's a tragedy.

I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine!

Guess what, moronic flyover frau: you could get your kicks above the waistline there too if you so choose.
I have friends who just visited for the atmosphere, pool, and restaurant. It was a lovely private compound away from the mania of bustle of Bangkok.
Maybe one day you'll get a passport.

I think those three statues hanging on the wall are creepy.

I went a few times - beautiful place but sex is hit or miss. I prefer Mania (if still open) where people come for sex only. At Babylon it was for the atmosphere.

Always wanted to visit but the flight takes 20 hrs from Miami, impressive patience is involved in the journey. Hopefully some nice people will update travel guides. I am friends with a guy in the uk and he and his husband say it’s one of the best places to visit.

Have they found someone to remove the nacreous layer of permacum?
