Who is the best contemporary white male pop singer today?

Keep it between white makes younger than 45, and they’ve had a top 10 hit within the last few years.

Damn it, typos! White MALES, not white makes.

by Anonymousreply 1October 18, 2022 5:48 AM

None of the above.

My vote would be Bruno Mars but I voted for Brendon Urie because even though I don't always love his music, he's the best vocalist there. Justin isn't bad either, but Bruno can sing circles around everyone on this list.

Shawn Mendes is still closeted.

Sam Smith is a gay white male who identifies as non-binary, so fuck him for throwing away the gay male representation.

Harry Styles’ sexuality is deliberately ambiguous.

Brendon Urie is married to a woman but openly pansexual, and he’s the most vocally talented, so I think he deserves our support the most.

R3, Bruno isn’t WHITE.

by Anonymousreply 5October 18, 2022 6:02 AM

Do any of them even have a classical training?

by Anonymousreply 6October 18, 2022 6:04 AM

R5 oof I missed that part but Brendon Urie is also not white. He's one quarter Polynesian.

by Anonymousreply 7October 18, 2022 6:04 AM

Rag 'n' Bone Man is a better singer than all these guys and very white.

by Anonymousreply 8October 18, 2022 6:08 AM

R6, probably Brendon Urie, he has a musical theatre background and a very impressive range. He’s the Freddie Mercury of his generation.

by Anonymousreply 9October 18, 2022 6:12 AM

Clay Aiken

by Anonymousreply 10October 18, 2022 6:15 AM

Or Adam Lambert

by Anonymousreply 11October 18, 2022 6:16 AM

R10 and 11, they haven’t been relevant in years.

by Anonymousreply 12October 18, 2022 6:18 AM

Or Adam Levine skirts just under the wire at 43!

by Anonymousreply 13October 18, 2022 6:18 AM

Adam Lambarts sub for Freddie cements his status in my eyes r12

by Anonymousreply 14October 18, 2022 6:23 AM

SAM SPARRO. Openly gay, soulful and unabashed in his love of dance music. He has 3 or 4 full length albums going back 15 years and several collabs.

Who the hell his voting for Sam Smith? He sounds like his mouth is full of food when he sings, the way he pronounces words. Instead of saying “Dirty dirty,” he sings “Dawty Dawty.” It sounds so ghetto and gross.
