When Tom was playing book publisher, Jed Andrews. on daytime soap, The Young & the Restless (ca. 1974-75), his character was gone for awhile and came back with a mustache. They had his romantic interest, Lorie Brooks (played by Jaime Lyn Bauer) balk at the facial hair, so to comply he let her shave him. These two were also in a sexy shower scene (rather "scandalous" for back then) where they were sharing a steamy shower together and their naked bodies were up against the glass.

I got to see (and smell) that body up close, R17, but it wasn't a good thing. I had the misfortune to share a flight to London with him, where he was totally obnoxious -insisting that the cabin crew make announcements to keep "autograph seekers" from disturbing him in first class. No one knew he was on the plane until then. A couple of nights later he was seated next to me at the theater. He looked like a homeless person -unclean, unshaven with long (unwashed) scraggly gray hair, and wearing baggy sweatpants. No one appeared to recognize him -I only did because of being on the plane with him. At the interval, he made a huge stink in the lobby, insisting that he needed to be in their VIP lounge so he could have some peace (no one had approached him all evening). The poor girl tried to explain that the National Theatre didn't have a VIP lounge, but was interrupted with, "What? Do you mean to say the Queen stands around with the public?" The employee said, "No, sir. She usually goes into the bar," which caused gales of laughter from those of us standing around and watching the spectacle. Selleck huffed off, and she made a general statement to the crowd, "Does anyone know who that was?"

Who is the woman that gets in the revolving door with him? I recognize her as one of those character actresses from the 70s who seemed to pop up a lot. But I can't put a name to her.
