David O Russell’s “Amsterdam” is a $100 million loss

For those who said Bros would have done better if it had only had stars…

It just doesn't look good.

People finally realized Russell and his movies are garbage? There's hope for humanity.

by Anonymousreply 2October 10, 2022 9:49 PM

Didn't this just get released? In any case, that's what you get for stunt casting people like Taylor Swift

This movie would have done good in 2001. This is very out of touch Hollywood trying to kiss it’s ass. La La Land did it but it seemed a little bit more hip.

Didn’t they learn from “Hail Caesar”?

The trailer confuses me. Not sure what this movie is supposed to be about? Seemed... manic.

by Anonymousreply 5October 10, 2022 9:55 PM

Hahahahaha! Fuck David O. Russell! It's what he deserves!

by Anonymousreply 6October 10, 2022 9:58 PM

"Boys" production was only $22 million (no stars to pay handsome salaries to).

by Anonymousreply 7October 10, 2022 10:01 PM

Is this Ian McEwan‘s Amsterdam?

by Anonymousreply 8October 10, 2022 10:40 PM

OP No, we said it may have had a chance if bung eyed cunt was not leading it. And the script was not trash.

[quote]What should have been an awards-season play with its originality quickly was sandbagged by critics at 34% on Rotten Tomatoes. So much, critics, for celebrating that which is original on the big screen.

Author needs to get over himself, a movie's not going to get a good grade just because it's original, Jesus.

I never heard of the movie until now. Where did they market it and to whom?

by Anonymousreply 11October 11, 2022 6:49 AM

If that trailer shows the highlights, audiences are right to stay away.

by Anonymousreply 12October 11, 2022 6:53 AM

This is bad news for Babylon which has a 110 mil budget…

by Anonymousreply 13October 11, 2022 1:41 PM

I saw the trailer in a theater two or three times, and I couldn't tell you what the movie is about. It's that forgettable.
