I never voted for Trump but I did want him to run in 2016 so I could see him crushed and humiliated. As we all know, that backfired miserably.
Although I got some pleasure seeing him crushed and humiliated in 2020, the only thing that will now really make this right is seeing him imprisoned for the rest of his miserable life.

What is r28 from??
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 10, 2022 8:26 PM |
I like Cheetos and sometimes eat them.
I think that a sandwich without mayo in some form is not worth eating. Russian/Thousand Island dressing counts as "in some form". That's what I have on corned beef sandwiches, along with cole slaw, which has mayo in it as well.
I sprinkle sugar on most homemade or fancy gourmet store fruit pies. They're not sweet enough for me otherwise. (Mrs. Smith's pies do not require extra sugar.)
I don't especially like garlic. I leave it out of homemade dishes and avoid eat-in and carryout foods that are too garlicky.
To clarify: I'm not really ashamed of these things. I'm embarrassed to admit them. Shame would imply that I think they're wrong. Actually, I think they're perfectly OK but realize they will be mocked by many.

I try every day not to be the blanket man-hating dyke my parents have before accused me of being. But every day I see or hear or come to know that a manāusually a straight oneāhas done something running the gamut from stupid to heinous, and I think to myself, ābut arenāt I right? Itās Days to Hate the Right People (Men).ā
And this isnāt to say that I donāt acknowledge or despair at stupid, destructive or cruel sociopathic women. I do. In fact, theyāre all the more awful for me, as they embarrass my sex and implicate me by existing. However, they seem to number much fewer than men of the same sort, and to be less extreme in their deeds and words (unless drugged or traumatised, in which case all bets are off). Not to mention that half of all the awful women in the world have been rendered monstrous by the men who abused them (again, not all, before anyone jumps on me).
Further; in my experience and understanding, the most damage done to our societies and civilisations to date has come from the hearts, minds and hands of malesāmaybe because they were the only ones with the power so to do, but nevertheless.
But idk. Itās hard out here for a radfem.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 11, 2022 2:47 AM |
That I have an opinion that differs. It use to be when you respectfully disagreed with a person they listened to why. But today I find when I a disagree a look comes over the face of the other: ā How dare you disagree with me!ā Itās not political, more generational perhaps. But unless I am buying something or I am with a close friend or someone I know, I keep my mouth shut about certain things.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 11, 2022 10:16 PM |
I agree, R54. (See? My opinion doesn't differ!)
I think this is especially true with younger people, who seem intensely conflict-avoidant to me. I am not a battler. I don't love an argument, and I don't seek conflict, but I can stand to have someone say, "I get your point, but I see it differently." I'm not frightened or threatened by that. Today it seems as though many people become terrified or shut down entirely if you express disagreement.
I see this as part of the "Karen" phenomenon, in which people are made to feel guilty or even ashamed for complaining about legitimate lapses in service.

R63, I don't think that is anything to be ashamed of. Their behavior is unpredictable and in some instances violent. Yet you're supposed to sit there and act like you don't see their weird behavior. They may do something super crazy at any moment, causing you to defend yourself and then you have to worry about receiving the scorn of everyone in the room for not being compassionate enough. I don't blame you. I am uneasy around them too.

I contracted Hep C about 15 yrs back immediately following sustaining a deep cut I got while filling up my tank (long story). Iāve always been a goody two shoes & had barely even smoked pot. When my dr told me I was positive, he asked if I was an IV drug user. I didnāt even bother to tell him how Iād most likely gotten it.
Luckily for me, my immune system fought it off (which happens about 15% of the time), though I didnāt know this for about 8 yrs, & never touched a drop of alcohol during this time. I still test positive for antibodies (as with any virus).
Iāve only told a handful of peopleāmy parents & about 5 close friends. Even my sister doesnāt know, & she works in the medical field.
Around the time I was infected Iād heard about friends of friends getting this, & even saw a news story about a woman whoād caught it from sharing a toothbrush. I sat in judgment at the time & figured they were all junkies. When I tested positive I felt enormous guilt & shame for prejudging people, & am a much more empathetic person for having gone through this. I guess thatās the closest thing to a silver lining to be gained from this experience.

R36 you started a thread about that country singer the other day, witout telling his name, right? I understand you better than you might think but your post here sounds darker than the other. Back when I was a club kid, without realizing, I messed around with a āpimpā when he managed an infamous NYC nightclub.
I remember him chatting about me on the office phone to a friend, who then promptly invited me to Miami for a weekend and I said āno thanks!ā
Then I read the pimpās name in Versaceās bio years later, and suddenly realized it was Gianni himself on the other end.
He was trying to whore me out to him!
It was a few weeks before the shooting.

[Quote]I love Dustin Lynch, the country singer. I hate his music, never listen to it. But I follow him online like a 12 year old middle school girl.

[Quote]I jerk off twice a day. And things I think about are far dirtier and darker than I ever thought I could imagine.
Nothing wrong with jerking off, but doing into "dirtier and darker" suggests that your fantasies may not be healthy. And sometimes fantasies can become real. Are we talking Jeffery Dahmer type shit here? Stop that.
[Quote]I voted for Reagan, and Bush Sr. I thought Junior was too dumb to be president. Now he looks like a fucking genius.
Voting for Reagan and Bush Sr was a mistake that many people made, but to think Dubya was a genius, that is some real wackadoodle shit. With everything we know about the now reclusive painter's time in office, NO ONE could think he was a genius. The WMDs farce alone is enough for you to know he had shit for brains.
[Quote]I secretly hoped that January 6th would start a civil war because I believe this country is long overdue for another one. Jefferson said we should have a revolution every five years.
Do you know what a war-torn country looks like? Do you understand that tons of innocent people would be slaughtered. People's lives and livelihoods would be destroyed? To sit in your climate controlled home at your computer (far away from the violence many places around the world have experienced) and suggest this for your own country is loony!
[Quote] I hope everyone is wonāt get a shot or wear a mask for some political reason get the virus and dies a hard death. The problem in this country is that people arenāt really willing to die for their beliefs.
Your statement is contradictory. If people are not willing to wear a mask or get a shot for political reasons then clearly they are willing to at least "risk" dying for their beliefs (as crazy as those beliefs are).
[Quote]A great many of Trumpās policies or issues I agree with- just not lead or initiated by him and his backup group of moral degenerates.
I've heard other misguided people make these types of statements. It seems to me that a lot of people do not understand his policies and what is really behind them. Again your statements are contradictory. You cannot make good policy if you are a moral degenerate.
[Quote]I think that we donāt tell children enough to be respectful-keep their mouths shut- and not interfere in adult manners.
I think we are the worst group of parents ever.
I think you mean adult "matters?" But in any event telling a child to "shut up" is not good parenting. Teaching them about the appropriate time and space to speak their mind, as well as MODELING respectful behavior IS good parenting.
R36 Please seek help!
